Islands of Cape Verde, Madeira and the Canaries
Day 1 Southampton
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to Southampton. Embark our ship in preparation for a late afternoon sailing.
Days 2-5 At sea
As we sail towards the Canaries, you’re free to do as much (or as little) as you wish. Maybe start your day off with a brisk walk around the deck. Or opt for a yoga class. Spend the afternoon learning a craft, or perfecting your golf swing. After your choice of dinner, you can catch a show or dance into the night.
Day 6 Santa Cruz, Tenerife
Sophisticated Santa Cruz - Tenerife's capital - is built around boulevards and wide avenues that link elegant squares and parks. Well-preserved buildings feature in the old town, including the colonial Church of the Immaculate Conception and the 18th-century Palacio de Carta, which has impressive baroque and neo-classical features. Recently redesigned by the architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, the city’s largest square, Plaza de España, is a pleasant spot to lose a few hours.
Day 7 Las Palmas, Gran Canaria
With its mainland-Spain feel, spiced up with an eclectic mix of Asian and African cultures, Las Palmas is one of the Canary Island's most popular destinations, attracting sunseekers who come to relax on its golden-sand beaches and soak up the gorgeous, year-round climate of Gran Canaria.
Days 8-9 At sea
With a variety of experiences, events, classes and much more to enjoy, each day on board can be as varied as you wish. Perhaps start your days with an energising early morning workout in the fully equipped fitness centre or refreshing walk on the open decks; try your hand at bridge, bingo, shuffle board and deck quoits after lunch, or perhaps indulge with a traditional afternoon tea; then in the evenings, enjoy sumptuous, five-course á la carte dining or a tasty buffet before catching a show - the choice is always yours.
Day 10 Mindelo, Cape Verde
The port city of Mindelo in the volcanic archipelago of Cape Verde retains many features of its colonial past. It’s also known for its music, carnival atmosphere and blend of Portuguese traditions and Brazilian style. Situated in Porto Grande Bay, Mindelo is surrounded by low mountains and boasts some of the best sea views and scenery in the region.
Day 11 Praia
Praia is the capital of Cape Verde, the amazing volcanic archipelago of ten islands and five islets remotely located some 400 miles off the coast of West Africa. This unique, unspoilt destination was a Portuguese territory until independence in 1975, and Praia sits on the southern tip of Santiago Island.
Days 12-13 At sea
Two free days as we continue our cruise. Enjoy a hearty breakfast then take your pick from the variety of activities on board. Show off your general knowledge in an afternoon or evening quiz. Try your hand at bridge, bingo or deck quoits. Or indulge in a traditional afternoon tea to while away your time. Top off the day with a sumptuous dinner or a simple tasty buffet.
Day 14 Santa Cruz, La Palma
La Palma’s small, yet pretty capital city - is one of the Canary Island’s true gems. Boasting colonial-style architecture, a swathe of charming beaches, restaurants and bars, Santa Cruz is typically Canarian and has something for everyone.
Day 15 Funchal, Madeira
Funchal, the capital of Portugal's Madeiran archipelago, has a timeless old-world charm and was a favourite of Sir Winston Churchill. Enhanced by a subtropical climate that fills this 'floating garden' with the year-round colours and perfumes of flowers and fruit, Churchill’s praise of the city has ensured British visitors always receive a warm welcome from locals.
Days 16-17 At sea
Keep your brain active with the morning quiz, then perfect your dance moves in the afternoon with a beginners’ class. After dinner, you could continue the dancing theme and join the hosted dancing, or choose to watch the professionals instead.
Day 18 La Coruña, Spain
The city of La Coruña is the capital of the province and a busy seaport situated in the Galicia region of northwest Spain. Most famous for its Roman lighthouse, the diverse architectural styles of La Coruña make the city an absolute delight for sightseeing.
Day 19 At sea
As we sail towards home you may want to rest after all your adventures. If you’re still full of energy, there‘s lots to fill your time - from quizzes, games and music recitals to walks on deck and dance classes. And of course there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy all the tasty food options.
Day 20 Southampton
We arrive back early this morning and your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
