Solo holidays & escorted tour FAQs
Yes, on our solo tours you’ll always be able to return to the comfort of your own room. This gives you space whenever you need it, as well as comfortable surroundings where you can rest and get ready for the day or night ahead. If you book one of our standard tour departures, you’ll still have your own room, but you may need to pay a supplement.
Travelling together is a wonderful way to get to know people – our customers often finish tours with lifelong friends (and future travel companions). You’ll be with your group for travelling and during included excursions and experiences, so there’ll be lots of shared moments. In your free time, you can socialise as much or as little as you want, but we’ll provide plenty of opportunities for you to get to know everyone else on the tour.
Not if you don’t want to. If you’d like some company on our singles holidays, you can head along to an informal dinner led by your tour manager. The conversation always tends to flow when there’s a memorable day to reflect on. Your tour manager will let you know when and where to meet.
Of course – you’re more than welcome to join any of the regular departure dates for these tours, or any of our other holidays. Groups tend to be a mix of couples, friends, families and single travellers, so there’s always a lovely, friendly atmosphere.
Your tour manager can introduce you to other solo travellers in the group if you like, and we make it easy to mingle at every opportunity, organising coaches to excursions and meals where you can sit down and get chatting to your fellow travellers.
While we don’t have any solo-specific voyages, we do welcome single travellers on our small ship cruises in Croatia. Cruise and tours are another great option for solo holidays. Mealtimes are sociable, with group seating allowing you to get to know other passengers. Some cruise lines also arrange informal drinks receptions or coffee mornings where you can meet others travelling by themselves. Your travel advisor can let you know all the details.
Everyone is different, of course, but we feel that a guided or escorted tour is an ideal holiday for single travellers. Having someone else take care of all the planning and detail leaves you free to enjoy the experience, without worrying about finding your hotel after a long flight or remembering to pre-book entrance tickets.
Being in a group means you’ll travel solo but not alone – you’ll have someone to snap a photo of you in front of Uluru or join you for a morning matcha in Kyoto. When it comes to our solo tours, we have lots of destinations to choose from, so it’s all down to personal preference. For plenty of history and culture, you could discover Italy’s beautiful south, Turkey’s treasures or the incredible temples and palaces of India. Wildlife fans might like to look at Costa Rica, Botswana or Peru. And if you’re after a real wishlist adventure, we can take you to Australia and New Zealand, show you the wonders of ancient Egypt on a Nile cruise, or take you backstage at one of Nashville’s most iconic music studios.
All of Titan’s solo tours are safe for female travellers. We know these destinations well and the health and safety of our guests is paramount when we’re planning. If you have free time to explore independently or you’re heading out in the evening, your tour manager will always let you know if there are any areas best avoided. Rest assured that when you book with us, you’re in safe hands.
