Singapore holidays

It might be a travel cliché, but Singapore really is a city of contrasts. You can be browsing brightly coloured saris one minute and stepping inside a Chinese temple the next. Tucking into spicy laksa at a street stall for lunch and sitting down to a traditional English afternoon tea a few hours later. Jostling your way through the Orchard Road crowds in the morning and relaxing in peaceful botanical gardens in the afternoon.

Be sure to experience a few Singaporean traditions – a Sling at Raffles Hotel, a leisurely boat ride along the winding Singapore River, lunch with the locals at a cheap-and-cheerful hawker centre.

And definitely don’t miss the spectacular Gardens by the Bay. At this award-winning park, giant ‘supertrees’ reach up to 16 storeys tall, picnic-perfect lawns line the waterfront, and the world’s tallest indoor waterfall cascades through a unique cloud forest.

“Singapore is so diverse and really does have something to suit everyone, from its botanical gardens to the skyscrapers and the shopping malls. A highlight for me was the SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands; this was a unique experience offering breathtaking city views.”

Singapore stopovers

As well as tours and cruises including Singapore, we also offer the option of adding a stopover here en route to other destinations. Break up the long journey to Australia or New Zealand with a few days exploring the city, or contrast a Borneo wildlife holiday with some time among the sights and skyscrapers.
