Day 2 - Koblenz
This morning we arrive in Koblenz, a city dating to the 11th century and renowned for its array of historic monuments. The city has long been watched over by extensive fortifications, and Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, built in the early 19th century, is the subject of our included excursion. We follow this up with a tour and wine tasting at Deinhard Cellar Museum. We dock in Koblenz overnight.
Day 3 - Koblenz - Lorelei Rock - Mainz
Early this morning we sail the beautiful, winding Lorelei Passage and pass the legendary Lorelei Rock; the scenery is utterly spectacular here as the narrowest part of the stunning Rhine. Early afternoon we arrive in Mainz, an old German town filled with timbered houses, medieval market squares and fascinating architecture. You might want to visit one of the historic monuments including the royal palace and beautiful cathedral. We set sail this evening.
Day 4 - Christmas Eve - Speyer
Enjoy a scenic sail to Speyer, a city that showcases more than 2,000 years of history. An optional walking tour is available to explore unique historic attractions, romantic lanes, lively squares and promenades that offer new discoveries at every turn. Its cathedral, originally founded by the Salian emperors in the 11th century, is today an outstanding example of Romanesque architecture and it has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This evening, the Captain’s Christmas Eve gala dinner awaits as we begin the Christmas festivities.
Day 5 - Christmas Day - Strasbourg

The city centre has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the twisting alleys lined with crooked houses and its monumental cathedral are a delight to explore.
Day 6 - Boxing Day - Rüdesheim
At lunchtime we sail into the enthralling wine-growing city of Rüdesheim. The Romans were the first wine growers here, but the tradition is still very much alive and on an included walking tour, we visit traditional wine taverns found within historic half-timbered houses. The highlight of today’s tour is the famous Drosselgasse, an area in Rüdesheim’s old town adored by visitors for its live entertainment, where you can indulge in delicious regional cuisine and wine and relax in the vibrant, lively atmosphere. We dock overnight in Rüdesheim.
