Why we love these amazing small group tours

Small group tours have all the same ingredients of our regular award-winning escorted tours, however, with just a maximum capacity of 24 people, you’ll discover our small group tour holidays have a more personal atmosphere. We have over 20 different small group tours to several destinations across the world with plans to add more to our collection.

What do we mean by small group touring?

Customers will feel part of a tight-knit group, there are more opportunities to engage with local guides and discover more authentic experiences that wouldn’t be available to larger crowds. Our small group holidays are also less busy, there’ll be more space to enjoy while travelling in between destinations on our vehicles and the chance to really get to know your fellow travellers and bond over shared travel moments.

All our small group holidays are accompanied by a dedicated tour manager, who’ll not only organise the day-to-day elements of your holiday but will also be on hand to offer up their knowledge and expertise. They’ll be able to tell you anecdotes and stories, as well as bring each destination to life. Our tour managers are there to help with any issues should they arise, but most importantly, they’re there to help you enjoy yourselves.

With our small group touring, it’s also much easier for our tour managers to get to know you better, and much easier for you all to mingle at your own pace without overwhelmingly huge numbers. Recently, we’ve seen more interest in our small group tours, so we wanted to pick a selection of our favourite small group holidays that cater for less than 16 people, and explain why we think they’re a great option for your next dream adventure.

Great Apes of Uganda

What could be more magical than watching gorillas playing in the wild? On this small group tour you could see just that, gorilla trekking in the stunning Bwindi Impenetrable Park and perhaps experiencing one of the most exciting wildlife experiences of your life.  On this 12-day escorted tour you may also catch a glimpse of endangered chimpanzees, spot lions, leopards and elephants, as well as explore some of the most scenic landscapes across Uganda’s most stunning national parks. You’ll also get to enjoy incredible views from the comfort of several elegant lodges.

South African Safari Adventure

The epic scenery across South Africa leaves all those who visit with a long-lasting impression. On this 15-day dream adventure, you’ll experience four very different South African environments from the awesome Kruger National Park to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mapungubwe. With over 12 different game drives, too, you’ll get the chance to see the Big Five, as well as countless of other species of animals including hippos, antelope and birds. And while you’re enjoying these incredible animal encounters, the landscapes will also impress – with majestic mountain ranges and sweeping rivers.

Wild Costa Rica

In one of the most biodiverse environments in the world, it wouldn’t be an overstatement to say that you’ll spot hundreds, if not more, different species of wildlife on this mesmerising Costa Rica holiday. Adventure through five different national parks, trek through cloud forests and marvel at the forest canopies teeming with colour, noise and life. From endangered animals, insects and reptiles, be warned, bring a spare battery for your camera, you’re going to need it. You’ll be channelling your inner David Attenborough and seeing incredible sights including sloths, tapirs, howler monkeys and so much more

Zimbabwe - The Path to the Smoke that Thunders

Sail along Lake Kariba and watch as the wildlife gather along its shores, while relaxing with a cool drink onboard an exclusive cruise boat. This experience is the stuff of dreams – and Wild Zimbabwe delivers them on a grand scale. From spotting the endangered black rhino to crocodiles and lions, this 14-day holiday includes seven game drives, as well as a once-in-a-lifetime journey on a steam train where you will gently travel across Victoria Falls Bridge and watch a glorious sun set over the awesome Victoria Falls – the world’s largest waterfall. From cruising on the Zambezi River and enjoying sundowners on the deck of your luxury lodge, this is truly an unforgettable holiday.
