When travelling to a destination, there'll always be the ‘must-see’ experiences that everyone visiting that destination will do. We always consider how we can make this experience even more authentic for our customers, such as bringing in a local expert to talk to them about the sight or even arranging special sunrise access, before a sight is open to the general public, which we have done in the past at Chichen Itza in Mexico for example.

From a bigger picture perspective, it's also the smaller touches outside of the main sites that can really make a tour the best adventure on the market. In Costa Rica, one of our tours stays at a beachfront hotel overlooking the Pacific Ocean. After spending the day at one of the must-visit National Parks, in the late afternoon our local tour manager will meet them on the beach, having set up a table with local beers, rum and soft drinks, and they watch the sunset together over the Pacific Ocean with a cold beer in hand. It's these small touches that really make for an authentic experience and turn a great tour, into the best tour.

When choosing destinations or experiences to add into an itinerary, it's important to consider what it will individually add to the itinerary in terms of culture, adventure, wildlife viewing or a social aspect but equally as important to consider how it fits into the wider itinerary as a whole.
