Japan
“Late March to mid-April is the prime time for the fabulous 'sakura' (cherry blossom). April is also a great time to be in Takayama – magnificent floats are paraded through the streets for the town’s harvest festival. In May, meanwhile, it's sumo season in Tokyo! We have special departure dates that take in the sumo tournament at the Kokugikan Arena, known as the spiritual home of sumo.” Cassie
USA
Utah & Arizona
“May is an ideal month to visit the national parks of this part of the US. You’ll enjoy good weather, but won’t have to deal with the scorching temperatures or the busy crowds of high summer.” Cassie.
Deep South, USA
“April in New Orleans is great for music lovers, as there's a brilliant jazz festival around this time of year – it makes a particularly memorable end to our music-inspired Southern Sights and Sounds tour.” Cassie, Product Manager
Puglia, Italy
“May is the perfect time to visit the ‘heel of Italy’, with temperatures in the pleasant early 20s. One of the greatest perks of visiting at this time is that there are fewer crowds, particularly around must-see destinations including the ancient cave dwellings of Matera and the trulli neighbourhoods in Alberobello.” Alison
Jordan
“April is a wonderful time to discover the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Many of the native wild flowers are blossoming, leaving a carpet of spectacular colour across the country. Days are warm and nights are cool and comfortable.” Phil
Malta
“May is a lovely time to visit the islands of Malta. The weather is warm but not too hot, there are wildflowers everywhere and the historic sights in places like Valletta and Mdina aren’t too crowded.” Alison
Uzbekistan
“The Silk and Spice Festival often takes place in the month of May in Bukhara. It’s a wonderful demonstration of Uzbekistan culture and an effort to revive the historical legacy of the ancient Silk Route. It is also warm and dry, and, as the country enters its low season, crowds at major sites begin to thin.” Phil
