We visit the most famous of Canada’s many lakes - Lake Louise - named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, Queen Victoria’s fourth daughter. There is time to take an optional gondola ride or relax at the historic Chateau Lake Louise, a luxury hotel dating back as far as 1911. This evening we are free to dine in one of the many restaurants on offer in this delightful town.
Banff - Columbia Icefield - Jasper
Today we head northwards through the Rockies to Jasper, with some fantastic scenery and possible wildlife sightings along the way. We stop at the Columbia Icefield and take an included Ice Explorer ride on to the surface of the Athabasca Glacier (subject to favourable weather conditions). Your journey is led by an experienced driver/guide, who shares a wealth of fascinating information about glaciers, icefields and their impact on our environment. There is also the opportunity to safely step out onto the glacier and stand on this powerful ancient ice. On arrival into the charming town of Jasper, we transfer to our hotel for the next two nights - the Lobstick Lodge (3T) or Marmot Lodge (3T).
This morning we board our coach for an unforgettable sightseeing journey that begins with the limestone gorge of Maligne Canyon and continues along the shore of Medicine Lake, rushing Maligne River and one of the most photographed spots in the world, the magnificent Maligne Lake. This evening we enjoy an included dinner with an interpretative talk.
Rocky Mountaineer (Jasper - Quesnel)

We continue west through the forests of northern British Columbia and arrive into Quesnel this evening where we disembark and transfer to our hotel for the night. Your accommodation in Quesnel is arranged by Rocky Mountaineer.
Rocky Mountaineer (Quesnel - Whistler)
An early start this morning to continue our travels, enjoying some of the most breathtaking and varied scenery found anywhere in the world. Our destination today is the delightful mountain resort of Whistler. Our hotel is arranged by Rocky Mountaineer.
