Today, we enjoy a tour of the island by private boat, travelling along the dramatic jagged coastline, continuing south across the island to Panormitis. Here we visit the famous 18th-century monastery of Taxiarchis Michael Panormitis, perhaps one of the most interesting churches on the island.
We conclude our tour with a short cruise to the tiny islet of Sesklia, where the Athenians sought refuge from the Spartans during the Peloponnese War. On our return journey we stop in the beautiful natural bay of St George’s to enjoy the superb scenery and tranquil atmosphere.
