Day 1 - UK - In flight

Our nationwide shared chauffeur service collects you from home for your flight to Windhoek.

Day 2 - Windhoek

Arrive in Windhoek and transfer to the hotel. After checking in, enjoy a short, guided walking tour through the heart of the city, passing historic architecture and local markets. Pause for a sundowner drink on the balcony of the Independence Museum and take in the city skyline against the backdrop of the Khomas Highlands. Dinner is served this evening at the iconic Joe’s Beerhouse, where the lively atmosphere and local flavours offer a true taste of Namibia.

Day 3 - Windhoek - Sossusvlei

Travel after breakfast along the ridge into the central Namib Desert, a World Heritage Site known for the highest dunes on Earth. From the high vantage point, catch sweeping views over the vast, golden dunes, dotted with hardy desert plants and the occasional wildlife silhouette. Arrive at the lodge in the early afternoon and enjoy some free time before a guided nature drive later in the day.

Day 4 - Sossusvlei

Set out early to explore Sossusvlei and the striking Dead Vlei, where bleached camelthorn trees stand against a backdrop of towering dunes. Pause for a picnic breakfast beneath their shade, surrounded by the stillness of the desert. Later, visit Sesriem Canyon, carved deep into the landscape over millions of years, before returning to the lodge.

Day 5 - Sossusvlei - Swakopmund

Travel north towards the Atlantic coast, crossing vast desert plains dotted with sparse vegetation and rocky outcrops. Stop at Solitaire for a slice of its famous apple pie and a freshly brewed cappuccino, soaking in the quirky charm of this tiny settlement. Continue through dramatic canyons carved over millennia en route to Walvis Bay, before following a scenic coastal road where towering dunes meet the Atlantic. After time to settle into your hotel, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, sampling Swakopmund’s unique blend of Namibian and German-inspired cuisine.

Day 6 - Swakopmund

Today’s adventure combines a coastal sailing experience with an exploration of the Namib Desert’s dramatic landscapes. Begin the day with a morning catamaran cruise on the Atlantic Ocean from Walvis Bay. Sail along the coastline, watching for seals, dolphins and pelicans, with the chance to spot whales in season. Enjoy light refreshments on board, including sparkling wine and fresh oysters, as the scenery unfolds. Continue on land with a guided 4x4 drive into the Sandwich Harbour area of the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Travel through this remote coastal landscape, where towering sand dunes meet the ocean. Stop regularly for photographs and pause for a lunch in the desert. Return to Swakopmund in the afternoon.

Day 7 - Swakopmund – Damaraland

Head north along the windswept Skeleton Coast, famous for its rugged beauty and treacherous waters, stopping to see a lonely shipwreck along the way. Pass the Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain and home to ancient rock art, before arriving at a remote lodge in the heart of Damaraland. Spend the afternoon at leisure.

Day 8 - Damaraland

Spend a full day exploring the striking, rugged landscapes of Damaraland in search of desert-adapted elephants and black rhinos, uniquely evolved to survive in the arid conditions of the Namib. Pause for a picnic lunch under a large tree in a scenic riverbed before visiting ancient Bushman rock paintings, delicately painted in ochre and charcoal and depicting scenes of daily life and spiritual rituals thousands of years old. Enjoy a cold sundowner drink before returning to the lodge.

Day 9 - Damaraland – Etosha National Park

Travel towards Etosha National Park, stopping in Outjo for a break. Continue to the lodge, conveniently located near the park’s entrance. In the afternoon, set out on a game drive from the coach, with the chance to spot zebras, antelope, giraffes, and maybe even lions or elephants across the park’s vast salt pans and savannah.

Day 10 - Etosha National Park

Spend the day exploring Etosha National Park in open-sided 4x4 safari vehicles, ideal for spotting wildlife up close. Travel between waterholes in search of elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, and herds of antelope such as springbok and oryx. Keep an eye on the skies for flamingos, pelicans, ostriches, and other birdlife, while the park’s salt pans, acacia woodlands, and mopane forests provide ever-changing backdrops. Return to the lodge late afternoon.

Day 11 - Etosha National Park

Head out again into the reserve to for another full day, 4x4 safari drive to explore more of the park’s vast landscapes and fascinating wildlife.

Day 12 - Etosha National Park - Windhoek

After a leisurely breakfast, travel through central Namibia to Windhoek stopping in Okahandja to browse its well-known woodcarver markets. Continue to Windhoek overnight. Enjoy dinner at the hotel this evening.

Day 13 - Windhoek - In flight

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

Day 14 - UK

Upon arrival, your vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
