We love...
Wandering through the colourful backstreets of Wroclaw's historic old town.
Poland reverently respects its history while marching forward in hope. On our tour of Poland, we ponder the power of faith at Kraków’s wonderful Wawel Cathedral and the ‘Jasna Góra’ (Bright Hill) Monastery in Częstochowa, a hugely prominent place of pilgrimage. Visiting Warsaw, we celebrate the extraordinary transformation of a place once almost destroyed in war. We spend an emotional day at Auschwitz, learning of the country’s dark past, and an uplifting one touring Wrocław, a charming contemporary city.

Days 2-3 - Warsaw
Our Poland holidays begin in Warsaw, a contemporary city dressed in eye-catching architecture. Restored baroque, Gothic, Neoclassical and Renaissance buildings are peppered throughout the Old and New Town, making for a really charming atmosphere at every turn. We waste no time in seeing as much of it as possible on our guided tour of the city. The rest of our time in the city is at leisure. The Royal Castle and the Palace of Cultures and Science are both worth exploring. Alternatively you could choose to join an optional excursion that takes you to Chopin’s birthplace in the tiny village of Zelazowa Wola and 17th-century Nieborowie Palace and gardens, for a guided tour. This evening, you might like to take a seat at an optional Chopin concert.

A short walking tour of the Old Town will reveal its beauty this morning. The rest of the day is at leisure.

A day at leisure for sightseeing and relaxing. As you explore, look out for the foot-tall bronze dwarfs. An optional excursion is available to Ksiaz castle and the Church of Peace in Swidnica.

The old part of the city is dominated by the imposing Wawel Castle and the Cathedral. In the afternoon we visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
