Come face to face with Victoria Falls
Visit the mighty Victoria Falls – one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World – and hear stories about the great explorer, Doctor Livingstone, who discovered them back in 1855. Our expert local guide will lead us to a series of viewpoints where we can appreciate this mile-wide wall of water in all its glory, capturing on camera the colossal clouds of mist that rise from the bottom.
Sundowner cruise on the Zambezi
At the top of thundering Victoria Falls is Zambezi River, Africa’s fourth-longest, which flows for 2,574km through six countries. We’ll enjoy a relaxing cruise on these calm waters as the sun goes down, keeping an eye out for wildlife along the way.
Meet the locals in Mpisi
To get a snapshot of traditional Zimbabwean life, we’ll head to Mpisi – a small, rural village close to Victoria Falls. The warm and friendly locals here live in thatched huts, and we’ll learn all about their customs and age-old farming techniques.
Animal encounters in Chobe National Park
Strap into a 4WD with expert rangers in tow and head out into the savannahs and woodland. With three game drives in total (two in the morning, one in the afternoon) forming part of your itinerary, you'll have a great chance of spotting the elusive Big Five.
Cruising Chobe River
Start the day with a relaxing river cruise as the sun rises above Chobe River. Keep an eye out for wildlife in and out of the water – including hippos, crocodiles, elephants and more than 450 species of birds.

We'll swap the savannahs for the skies on this exhilarating morning excursion, which sees us take flight in a light aircraft for a birds-eye view of Chobe River and the rest of the park. If we're lucky, we'll spot hippos lounging in the water and crocodiles sunbathing on the banks.

Day 2 - Victoria Falls
Arrive at Victoria Falls International Airport and transfer your hotel for a three-night stay. Overlooking Zambezi National Park and just two-and-a-half miles to Victoria Falls, the lodge boasts two swimming pools, two restaurants, a spa and the Buffalo Bar which overlooks a natural waterhole visited by elephant, buffalo and kudu.

Day 3 - Victoria Falls
Start the day with a talk on Doctor David Livinstone and a visit to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Discovered by Livingstone in 1855, the pre-colonial name of ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya' (the smoke that thunders) perfectly describes this force of nature. A mile-wide curtain of water freefalls down the rockface for almost a quarter of a mile, causing mists that can be seen from up to 12 miles away. After a guided walk stopping at different viewpoints around the falls, enjoy a sundowner cruise along the Zambezi River where you may spot hippo, crocodile, elephant and giraffe. kudu.

Cross the border into Botswana, on a 73-mile journey to Kasane, the gateway to Chobe National Park. Stay seven nights on the tranquil banks of the Chobe River on the edge of Chobe National Park. Day 6 - Chobe National Park
Chobe was Botswana’s first national park, and the overflowing tributaries, lily-strewn waterways and miles of floodplains are home to Africa’s greatest concentration of wildlife, including the largest elephant population on earth. Day 7 - Chobe National Park
Take an early morning cruise along the Chobe River to spot hippos, basking crocodiles and herds of bathing elephants. A paradise for birdwatchers, Chobe is home to more than 450 species, including heron, stork, jacanas and bee-eaters. Look out for small oxpeckers as they hitch a ride on the back of hippos.
