Aboard family-run MV Dalmatia, travel south from the vibrant city of Rijeka, dropping anchor beside unspoilt islands and picturesque coastal towns. Krka National Park
Croatia is blessed with numerous National Parks, and Krka is one of its finest. Carved by the Krka River over thousands of years, its seven magnificent, silvery cascades are the headline attraction. Raised wooden walkways snake through and around the surrounding forests, rivers and canyons, giving gorgeous viewpoints over the whole scene.
Walking tour of Trogir
A guided stroll through Trogir’s old marble streets reveals fairytale buildings, grand medieval architecture and beautifully preserved buildings from the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods. St Lawrence’s Cathedral is the star attraction, whose crowing Bell Tower is the tallest in Trogir.
Step back in time in Split
Nothing quite prepares you for the city of Split. Originally built as a retirement villa and complex for the Roman Emperor Diocletian, Split today is a thriving city with streets that were once palace corridors, and bustling shops and restaurants built into the original palace walls, arches, columns and facades.
Sights and sounds of Zadar
Zadar is a city full of ancient and modern surprises. As well as Roman ruins and the historic Sea Gate, the town has a flight of stark white steps descending into the sea. The steps are perforated, creating a so-called ‘sea organ’ which seems to sigh and whistle with the motion of the waves.
Rab - an archetypal Adriatic paradise
Rab is the greenest and best known of Croatia’s Kvarner Islands. Its shores are fringed with pine forests, while inland you’ll find olive groves and grapevines set out in neat rows. We’ll pick a path through its storybook old town, all red-roofed houses and wonky cobbled streets. Spot Byzantine churches, Romanesque towers and Italianate mansions, then retire to the ship for a drink with a view.

Day 2 - Rijeka to Opatija to Krk
A short sail takes us to the magnificent coastal town of Opatija, a well-known 19th-century health resort for Austro-Hungarian aristocracy and nobility. On a guided walking tour, spy grand, stately architecture, a historic 7.5-mile promenade and the star-studded Croatian Street of Fame, before returning to the small ship to travel to the largest island in the Adriatic, Krk. Go ashore to enjoy dinner at leisure in the city – why not try šurlice, a traditional hand-rolled pasta, unique to the island?

Day 3 - Krk to Rab
This morning we head to Rab, a luscious island boasting sandy beaches (a rarity in Croatia), green hillsides, and a medieval walled town with a quartet of bell towers studding the skyline. Delve deeper with a guided walking tour in the afternoon, revealing Italianate mansions and Romanesque towers. The ship will dock overnight.

Day 4 - Rab to Zadar
It’s a scenic sail to the coastal city of Zadar, as we return to the mainland. This afternoon, a guided tour teaches us about Zadar’s rich past as we make our way through the streets of the Old Town. We stop to admire the Morska vrata (Sea Gate), an abundance of impressive churches, as well as the famous sea organ, an experimental instrument which uses the motion of the waves to create music. Enjoy dinner at leisure and try to catch a sunset – Zadar’s are considered some of the most vibrant in the world - before the ship docks overnight.

Day 5 - Zadar to Kornati Islands to Šibenik
Our small ship sails away from the coast this morning, as we weave through the uninhabited Kornati Islands – a scenic archipelago of more than 140 uninhabited desert-like islets, peppered with caves and grottos. It’s a short journey to the historic city of Šibenik, where you spend the night.

Day 6 - Šibenik to Krka to Skradin
A short drive and boat ride take us into the emerald-green of Krka National Park. A guided visit shows us the luscious landscapes, home to over 2000 species of plants and animals and seven cascading waterfalls, with breathtaking views. Dock overnight in the picturesque town of Skradin.

Day 7 - Skradin to Trogir
