Titan river cruises 2024
It's not hard to see why river cruises are so popular. After all, what better way to experience a region than by meandering through by boat, admiring the ever-changing scenery and cruising right into the heart of towns and cities? On our scenic river cruises, wake up to a different view each morning - it could be riverbanks full of wildlife or sit up on deck as you round a river bend to reveal an ancient stone city. The best river cruises moor up in or close to points of interest, so that’s exactly what we aim to do on ours. It means you’ll enjoy more time exploring and less time travelling to and from the ship.
We include all transport from your front door to your cabin, transfers throughout and a selection of handpicked shore excursions. And with excellent dining onboard, spacious cabins, and entertainment including live music, our river cruises really are a fantastic way to travel.
Where are the best places to visit on a river cruise?
Egypt and a Nile river cruise
Our Nile cruises are always popular with customers and for good reason. Be transported back in time to visit some of the world’s most iconic historical monuments – including the sand covered tombs of Luxor to the awe-inspiring Great Pyramid of Giza in Cairo. Discover all this and more in timeless Egypt on board our elegant ships or even a traditional sail boat - a dahabiya. Relax in comfortable cabins and dine on local cuisine with free-flowing drinks at meal times. We’ll watch life unfold along the palm-tree lined riverbanks, take in views across verdant deltas and be astounded by some of the most spectacular ancient wonders of the world.
The Deep South and a Mississippi river cruise
Stay on board America’s only overnight paddlewheel steamboat, the American Queen. This is a USA holiday not to be missed. We’ll sail from Memphis to New Orleans, and explore scenic river towns, atmospheric cotton fields and evergreen forests. On board, expect exceptional service, elegant and stately interiors, freshly prepared fine dining meals, as well as grand saloons and nightly entertainment that channel the soulful sounds of the Deep South.

More Information about River Cruise
Firstly, we’re the specialists in escorted holidays. We’ve been taking our customers across the world on escorted tours for more than 40 years, and used that wealth of knowledge when we started our river cruises more than 10 years ago. By booking with us, you’ll benefit from decades of expertise and award-winning customer service.
On many river cruises, our tour managers will join you on board to make sure you have a truly memorable experience. They’re there to make sure everything is safe and running smoothly. And, as they’re a well-travelled bunch, they can give you a few expert tips to help you make the most of your trip.
On excursions, you’ll often be joined by a local guide, who’ll be able to share detailed insight into particular locations and attractions. Finally, all of our river cruises include our VIP door-to-door travel service as standard, meaning your holiday starts the moment you step out of your front door.
The great thing about river cruising is that you can pretty much enjoy a river cruise holiday all-year round. In Egypt, during the summer months, temperatures rise quite sharply, so many of our Nile cruises travel out of this season earlier in the year or during spring and autumn when it’s much cooler.
Our river cruises on the Nile and Mississippi include so much. From your VIP door-to-door transfer and excursions to your expert tour manager who'll accompany you on your holiday. On board our ships, you'll also enjoy freshly prepared meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner - with free-flowing drinks, including wine and beer.
Our river cruises are also an excellent choice for solo travellers. Not only are they excellent value, which includes all meals and drinks with lunch and dinner, entertainment and excursions, it’s a really informal and sociable experience. Open seating means you can choose who to sit with when you dine, and our smaller sized river cruise ships make it easy to get to know everyone on board.
Yes, wi-fi is available, however, the strength can be patchy dependent on where you're located on board the ship, and where the ship is travelling through. We wouldn’t recommend using it for any downloads or streaming.
On all our river cruises there is no formal dress code. Smart/casual attire is recommended. Men are not required to wear jackets, however, shorts and hats are not permitted in formal dining areas on board American Queen.
While all our river cruise holidays include many excursions and experiences, we also offer optional excursions. You’ll get information about these pre-departure and will be able to book these through our travel advisors, however, if you decide while your sailing with us you’d like to do take part, speak to your tour manager who’ll be able to help you book [subject to availability].
Tipping is up to the customers’ discretion, and you should give what you feel is appropriate. For an approximate figure, the recommended amount is £5-10 per person per day on board our Nile river cruises or $15-20 per person per day on board American Queen.
