Our enchanting Switzerland tour and holidays
Walks beside glistening lakes, al fresco lunches at mountainside restaurants, train rides past impressive glaciers – Switzerland tours are all about enjoying the great outdoors. This small, landlocked nation has more than its fair share of spectacular scenery – and we’ll help you see the very best of it.
On our Switzerland holidays, you could take a trip on the famous Bernina Express, riding along one of the most incredible train tracks in the world. Feel the sun on your face as you glide across Lake Brienz by paddle steamer. Stroll around picture-book-pretty mountain towns, where traditional wooden chalets are adorned with colourful flowers. And refuel with deliciously decadent food – gooey cheese, rich chocolate and potatoes smothered with cream.

If you fancy a slightly longer trip to Switzerland, our grand tour takes you from Lucerne to Montreaux, stopping at the likes of Locarno and Zermatt along the way.
A handful of our Rhine river cruises include a couple of days in Switzerland, giving you the chance to see a little of this beautiful country before or after your cruise. Whichever tour or cruise you choose, you’ll benefit from Titan perks like VIP door-to-door transfers to your UK departure airport and the services of an expert tour manager throughout your holiday. The Alps create many climatic variations throughout Switzerland and, generally, the higher you are, the cooler the temperatures.
EHIC/GHIC - Following the UK’s exit from the EU, the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is being replaced by the Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC). UK-issued EHICs are still valid and offer the same cover as GHICs in the EU. Once your EHIC has expired, you’ll be able to replace it with a GHIC and you can apply online. You should beware of unofficial websites that may charge if you apply through them. An EHIC or GHIC is free of charge.
Either card lets you get medically necessary state healthcare in Europe at a reduced cost or sometimes free of charge, however it isn’t a replacement for travel insurance, you should have both before you travel. Some European countries don’t accept either card (including the Channel Islands of Guernsey, Alderney and Sark, Norway, Iceland, and Switzerland). To access up-to-date details for the country you’re visiting, please refer to this information
No visa is needed for British citizens to enter Switzerland. A standard 10 year British passport is required for all holidays, which must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned date of return travel.

Once an essential staging post at a four-way crossroads, Andermatt is one of the largest of three towns in the Urseren valley, but it still retains its charm. With acres of green space during the summer months and glistening snowy vistas in winter, the views in Andermatt are out of this world. We’ll enjoy them from the Glacier Express train, from the depths of the Rhine Gorge up to the 2,033-metre-high Oberalp Pass.Lucerne
This spectacular lake with a breathtaking mountain backdrop is a must for any trip to Switzerland. Wander the ancient Old Town, explore sunny piazzas and marvel at the pastel-coloured houses as you stroll along the pretty waterfront promenade. We’ll also admire the cobalt blue waters as we board a paddle steamer across the lake itself.Bernina Express
One of the world’s most spectacular train journeys, the Bernina Express takes travellers from lakeside Davos to the pretty town of Tirano. It’s the highest railway across the Alps, with trains climbing the vertiginous 2,253-metre Bernina Pass to pass glaciers glistening in the sunshine. The track is something of an engineering marvel, too, with 55 tunnels, 196 bridges and a 110-metre-long spiral viaduct.
