At its western end is the iconic Bled Island, home to a striking 15th-century church. This afternoon we’ll head out to explore a combination of scenic countryside and Slovene cultural heritage - from the Završnica Valley and Karawanke mountain range to learning the secrets of Slovenia’s beekeeping tradition. We’ll pass through small villages as well as the town of Radovljica, which boasts one of the best-preserved medieval town squares. Please note: 2020 departures will visit Triglav National Park today instead. Joining the Italian and Austrian Alps, this beautiful natural wonderland is home to many endemic plants such as Triglav Hawkesbeard and the Julian Poppy.
