Day 2 Carrickfergus - Causeway Coastal Route
This morning, we depart on the Causeway Coastal Route - alongside the glens of Antrim. The first stop is Carrickfergus Castle, one of Northern Ireland’s most striking medieval monuments. We continue to the UNESCO-listed Giant’s Causeway. This geological feat is an unforgettable force of nature; or maybe you’ll choose to believe the myth that this was the handiwork of a local ogre!
Day 3 Titanic Exhibition - Enniskillen - Athlone
We’ll depart for our excursion to the Titanic Belfast Exhibition, to learn the story of the Titanic, from its construction to the infamous maiden voyage. Journeying south, we’ll stop at Enniskillen for a cruise on Lough Erne, home to 160 wooded islands, dotted within hundreds of miles of fresh water. We continue on to Athlone.
Day 4 Cliffs of Moher - Cork
We’ll travel around Liscannor Bay and encounter the rugged Cliffs of Moher rising some 700 feet above the Atlantic Ocean. This naturally impressive scenery is worth a small diversion as we make our way to Cork.
Day 5 Muckross House - Ring of Kerry
We’ll leave early for Killarney National Park, where Ireland’s highest mountains sweep down to lake shores. We’ll visit the delightful Victorian Muckross House for a guided tour, then continue on the Ring of Kerry - a 179km route of raw natural beauty and spectacular scenery.
Day 6 Waterford - Dublin
This morning we depart Cork for Ireland’s oldest city, Waterford, home to the famous crystal glass. We take a look at the Waterford Crystal Visitor Centre to learn of its time-honoured trade, before making our way to Powerscourt House and Gardens. One of the world’s favourite mansions, it’s surrounded by 47 acres of equally impressive gardens, and parkland that boasts Ireland’s highest waterfall. We continue to Dublin, where we’ll spend the next two nights.
Day 7 Dublin
Today we introduce you to the Republic of Ireland’s capital city. We’ll visit EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum and then the city’s oldest building, Christ Church Cathedral, in the heart of medieval Dublin. We’ll also stop at Trinity College, proceeding through the grounds of this hallowed educational site to its famous library to view the lavishly decorated Book of Kells. This evening you’re free to choose where to dine, so why not enjoy one of the many restaurants in Temple Bar and take in the atmosphere of this lively city.
Day 8 Dublin - UK
We transfer to the airport for your return flight home. Upon arrival your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
