Our river cruises are all about travelling at a leisurely pace. Only unpack the once, and then sit back and watch as the stunning scenery as it glides past. From fairytale castles and timber-framed medieval towns to rolling vineyards and magnificent mountains gorges, there will be no shortage of breathtaking landscapes to admire on a Titan river cruise

We sail down some of Europe’s most magical waterways including the Danube, Rhine and the Douro but our river cruises aren’t just about excellent food, great company and amazing destinations along the way, they are also about learning about the cultural heritage and fascinating history of all the places we visit - whether it is onboard our ships or on the ground.

This is why we love the QV8 Quietvox headsets that are available for all customers who travel with us onboard our ships MS Serenade and River Discovery II. Compact in size with an excellent battery life, these brilliant headsets will really enhance your river cruise experience.

Easily chargeable in your cabins via a dock, they can be worn around the neck with a lanyard and the volume and settings can be simply controlled by buttons. Simply plug in your earpiece or you can use the built-in speaker when onboard the ship.  And when they’re not in use for a long period of time, the device will automatically switch off saving the battery.

Guided commentary

Not only do our Quitevox headsets allow you to join group commentary when taking a guided tour on land, you can even use it alongside an interactive map to go on a self-guided tour at our stops. That is if you’d like to go on your own mini-adventure. With an easy-to-navigate interactive map, you can follow the route to some amazing landmarks, monuments and attractions by yourself, and when you want to discover more, simply tap the QV8 receiver on your map and then listen to the commentary when you’re ready to.

To join a tour group guide, all you have to do is to use your Quietvox to make a selection from the colour coded card provided and then within 30 seconds you will join the group and hear the fascinating information from your local guide. And the best thing is you don’t need to be standing close together - the sound will still be clear and concise from a distance.

However, another key feature is that while you’re relaxing onboard, whether in your elegant cabin or on the spacious sundecks, you can choose to listen to commentary via the ship’s GPS about the passing scenery - which will be interesting if you’re wondering what a particular monument, town or area is along the riverbank.

In fact, there are lots of neat built-in features to the Quietvox QV8s and we believe they make the experience of our river cruises an even better one. Being able to learn about your wonderful surroundings without the need for carrying bulky equipment is a huge plus.

We love Quietvox headsets on our river cruises and we think you’ll love finding them waiting for you in your cabin, too.

Ting has a serious case of wanderlust. Having travelled to over 40 countries, it’s her mission in life to make her way through her ever-growing list. Her two young sons have also caught the travel bug, and recent trips have seen them making snow angels in Iceland while watching the Northern Lights, as well as walking alongside elephants in South Africa.
