Titan Travel is a UK-based escorted tour operator that has been providing award-winning travel experiences since 1978. Titan’s offering covers more than 50 countries worldwide, and includes small group tours, solo holidays, rail journeys and cruises.
Our history
Titan Travel was founded in 1978 as Titan HiTours, part of the Argus Newspaper group. Titan was started by journalist Irwin Ferry, selling UK and continental coach holidays to readers of the Argus Newspaper group. When leaving the newspaper in 1984, Irwin took Titan with him into private ownership. Martin Coe and Irwin’s brother Hugh join him on the senior management team.
After being acquired by Acromas in 2009, Titan Travel became a part of Saga PLC. Saga is a UK-based company that specialises in products and services for the over-50s, including travel, insurance and finance.
Sustainability and responsibility
A commitment to sustainable travel is a key part of Titan Travel’s ethos. Titan’s BE Better initiative focuses on three pillars: conservation, wildlife and community.
