Day 1 London - Calgary - Banff
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport and a direct, scheduled Air Canada flight to Calgary, where our coach transfers us to Banff and our hotel, the Banff Park Lodge (3T+).
Day 2 Banff - Lake Louise - Banff
Today we tour the surrounds of Banff and also visit Lake Louise. Take a stroll by the lakeside and visit the Chateau - a luxury hotel with cafés and bars to enjoy. We return to Banff by a different route, which enables us to enjoy the beauties of the region.
Day 3 Banff - Columbia Icefield - Jasper
We journey by road through spectacular scenery of rugged peaks, aquamarine lakes and high-forested valleys. We stop at the Columbia Icefield one of the highest accumulations of ice and snow south of the Arctic Circle. Here we take an included Ice Explorer ride on to the surface of the Athabasca Glacier (subject to favourable weather conditions). Our destination is Jasper National Park and our hotel - the Chateau Jasper (3T).
Day 4 Jasper
Today includes an unforgettable sightseeing journey that begins with the limestone gorge of Maligne Canyon and continues along the Shore of Medicine Lake, to rushing Maligne River and one of the most photographed spots in the world, the breathtaking Maligne Lake. This evening dinner is included, with an interpretative talk.
Day 5 Jasper - Prince George
Today’s drive crosses into the Rocky Mountains, travelling along the Yellowhead Highway which meanders past Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies. Watch out for elk, deer, caribou and bears as we pass the wilderness on the Trans-Canada Highway, beside the Caribou Mountain Range. Our trip ends in Prince George, which is located at the confluence of the Fraser and Nechako rivers, and boasts magnificent views of the Rockies. Our overnight accommodation is the Sandman Signature (4T+).
Day 6 Prince George - VIA Rail - Prince Rupert
This morning we board VIA Rail’s train bound for Prince Rupert. Sit back, relax and view the scenery of northern British Columbia as we pass settlements, farms and sawmills dotting a landscape defined by mountains, forests and lakes. Our hotel for the night is the Crest Hotel (3T+).
Day 7 Prince Rupert - Port Hardy
An early start today to join BC Ferries for a remarkable cruise through the 274-nautical-mile Inside Passage route between Prince Rupert and Port Hardy. This sheltered marine highway is one of the world’s greatest waterways. It follows a series of natural channels and, even beyond Queen Charlotte Sound, is protected from ocean swells by the islands and the rugged, densely wooded mountains of the British Columbia coastline. Late tonight we dock in Port Hardy and transfer to our hotel - the Port Hardy Inn (2T) or Pier Side Landing (2T).
Day 8 Port Hardy - Campbell River
We drive to Campbell River or Telegraph Cove, from where we embark on our included wildlife cruise. The cruise takes us out into the Johnstone Strait which, from late June to mid-September, is best known for its resident pods of orca. We continue later to the wilderness resort of Campbell River and the Coast Discovery Inn and Marina (3T).
Day 9 Campbell River - Ucluelet
From Campbell River, we drive through the farmlands of Merville and Black Creek, alongside the sea and through the Comox Valley. We meander through the picturesque oceanside communities of Parksville and Qualicum Beach, where views stretch across sandy beaches, the Strait of Georgia and beyond. Leaving the Oceanside Route, we continue to Ucluelet and our hotel for the next two nights is the spectacular Black Rock Oceanfront Resort (3T+) or Water’s Edge (3T+).
Day 10 Ucluelet - Tofino - Ucluelet
This morning we explore the resort of Tofino located in Clayoquot Sound, comprising about 400,000 hectares of land and marine within the Pacific Rim National Park. We will visit Chesterman and Long Beach plus the Botanical Gardens before some free time in the town to enjoy lunch at one of the many cafés. We then return to Ucluelet. This afternoon you may wish to walk part of the Wild Pacific Trail that starts from your hotel and follows the spectacular rugged coastline for some breathtaking views.
Day 11 Ucluelet - Victoria
The scenic picturesque east coast of Vancouver Island is ranked among the top three drives in Canada; our drive takes us through Cathedral Grove, where 800 year old Douglas fir trees soar to the skies above the park, to Nanaimo - the Harbour City - where we will enjoy a city tour. Continue on to Chemainus, famous for its murals scattered throughout the village, and then Duncan, the ‘City of Totem Poles’, where we visit either the Native Heritage Centre or make a stop at the Cowichan Valley Museum, offering an authentic interpretation of life and traditions of the Pacific Coast tribes. Our destination is Victoria and the Chateau Victoria Hotel (4T) or Inn at Laurel Point (4T). An orientation tour of Victoria is included, displaying the old world charm of historical architecture fitting for the capital of British Columbia (this tour may take place on day 12).
Day 12 Victoria
A day at leisure to enjoy Victoria and its many attractions. Described in 1843 by an official of the Hudson’s Bay Company as ‘a perfect Eden’, Victoria remains true to its earliest plaudits.
Day 13 Victoria - Vancouver
From Victoria our route takes us to the world-famous Butchart Gardens for an included visit. On arrival at Swartz Bay, a ferry cruise through the beautiful Gulf Islands takes us to Tsawwassen, for a drive onwards to Vancouver and our hotel - the Pinnacle Vancouver Harbourfront (4T).
Day 14 Vancouver
This morning a short orientation tour of Vancouver has been arranged. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy this city.
Day 15 Vancouver - In flight
Time for some last-minute shopping and sightseeing before boarding our coach for the transfer to Vancouver Airport and a direct, scheduled Air Canada flight to London.
Day 16 London
Arrival at London Heathrow Airport where you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
