Large luxury traditional Egyptian dahabeya river boat sailing on the Nile

£3,995 per person

Egypt’s Nostalgic Nile by Dahabiya

We love...

Relaxing on the top deck of our dahabiya, hearing only the sails rippling overhead and the sounds from the riverbank as the magnificent temple of Kom Ombo comes into view.

On this magical journey through ancient Egypt, we’ll be guided on a small group tour through some of the world’s most famous historical icons by an expert Egyptologist. The Pyramids of Giza, Valley of the Kings, Luxor and Karnak top the spellbinding list of mind-blowing sights. But that’s just part of our trip back in time, as our adventure includes a magical Egypt river cruise - a five-night stay aboard a traditional dahabiya sailing boat. As the wind kisses the sails, we’ll journey down the Nile in effortless style, and feel like we’re on a private charter. We’ll watch life unfold on the riverbanks, as well as discover a different perspective of Egypt from the water.

Key information

Dahabiya sailing boats are powered by the wind so on rare occasions they may need to be towed. However tugs travel a good distance ahead and the dahabiya remains under full sail, so your experience of the sights, sounds and magic of the Nile is little changed.
