Day 1 - Southampton
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to Southampton, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Braemar (3T+) in preparation for a late evening sailing.
Day 2 - At sea
A full day at sea, giving you time to familiarise yourself with the extensive facilities on board your ship.
Day 3 - Leith (Edinburgh), Scotland (overnight)
Located on the shores on the Firth of Forth, Leith has served as the Scottish capital's port for centuries. Explore Edinburgh at your own pace today. The UNESCO-listed Old Town and New Town districts are filled with remarkable architecture from the medieval period onwards, including the magnificent Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. Art lovers will be drawn to the neoclassical Scottish National Gallery while other rewarding sights include the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, established in 1670 and St Giles Cathedral.
Day 4 - Leith (Edinburgh)
You will have more time to enjoy the sights of Edinburgh today, or perhaps experience a taste of the royal lifestyle aboard HMY Britannia, the former Royal Yacht, which is now moored in Leith. We sail tonight.
Day 5 - Dundee
This morning we arrive in Dundee, and you can experience the thrill of the annual Braemar Highland Games on a simply unforgettable tour from the city. Cheer on those competing in events such as the caber-toss and hammer-throw, listen to the bagpipe bands and watch traditional highland dancers. You may even spot members of the Royal Family, who often attend this wonderful festival. In Dundee itself, you might like to visit the Royal Research Ship Discovery, which took Captain Scott and Sir Ernest Shackleton on their expeditions to the Antarctic, or the Verdant Works museum, a former jute mill with working machines and interactive displays following the history of this once important local industry.
Day 6 - Invergordon
Located at the head of the beautiful Cromarty Firth, Invergordon is the gateway to the northern Highlands and is surrounded by stunning scenic beauty. Close-by and within easy reach is Scotland's most famous Loch - Loch Ness - legendary home of the elusive Loch Ness Monster. You might like to join a coach tour to the Loch and go in search of Nessie yourself. We leave Invergordon tonight.
Day 7 - Scrabster
On the northern coast of Scotland, the fishing port of Scrabster is located within walking distance of Thurso, the most northerly town on the British mainland. From here you can head out to explore the rugged landscapes of the Highlands, while the Castle of Mey, once the home of Her Majesty the Queen Mother, is just a short drive away.
Day 8 - Cruising Sound of Mull - cruising past Duart Castle - Oban , Argyle & Bute
Our cruise continues today through the Sound of Mull, the beautiful stretch of water between the Isle of Mull and mainland Scotland, passing the impressive 13th century Duart Castle along the way. Late this morning we arrive in Oban, known as the ‘Gateway to the Isles’ and surrounded by dramatic mountains, lochs and islands. The town hosts a number of award-winning restaurants and is especially famous for its seafood, while local points of interest include McCaig's Tower, a vast circular structure overlooking the town, and Oban Distillery, one of the oldest whisky producers in Scotland, which offers guided tours. Ship to shore tender service.
Day 9 - Belfast
Our final port of call is Belfast, where you are free to make your own discoveries in Northern Ireland’s vibrant capital city. The Titanic Belfast museum, standing on the site of the former shipyard where the ill-fated ocean liner was built, is one of the city’s most popular attractions, while other highlights include the Ulster Museum and the lovely Belfast Botanic Gardens. The geological wonder of the Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, can also be visited on a day-trip from the city.
Day 10 - At sea
Relax and enjoy a leisurely day at sea aboard Braemar as we sail back towards Southampton. Perhaps take a dip in the pool or settle down on the Sun Deck with a drink and a good book.
Day 11 Southampton
We disembark after breakfast and you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
