Ocean Cruise

Isles of Scotland

Cruising north from Liverpool we enter a world of rugged coastlines and windswept islands, where nature rules and a unique culture flourishes in the remoteness. We sail past Tobermory’s characterful coloured houses and the atmospheric Duart Castle, Mull. We experience Scottish life of a different kind in bustling Lerwick, Shetland, and immerse ourselves in Faroese culture in its tiny, bustling capital, Tórshavn. We meet the Orkneys’ abundant wild inhabitants, including seals, puffins and dolphins. And we perhaps sample a local whisky (or two).

Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to Liverpool, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Black Watch (3T+) in preparation for a late evening sailing.

Black Watch (3T+)

Day 2 - Greenock

We sail into Greenock today, gateway to the magnificent city of Glasgow - a place where ‘vibrant’ is its middle name. In Greenock, the town’s Esplanade is a delightful location for a stroll, and offers spectacular views out along the peninsula to Kilcreggan and Helensburgh.

Black Watch (3T+)

Day 3 - Tobermory, Isle of Mull - Cruising Sound of Mull and Duart Castle

Tobermory is characterised by brightly coloured houses, a charming pier and beautiful fishing boats. It has its own distillery that is well worth a visit. Later we cruise along the Sound of Mull and finally past the 13th century Duart Castle, the grand home of Clan Maclean. Ship to shore tender service.

Day 4 - At sea

Black Watch (3T+)

Day 5 - Lerwick, Shetland Islands

Built on the herring trade and modernised by the oil trade, Lerwick is the Shetland Islands’ only real town, home to a third of the population. Wandering along atmospheric Commercial St is a delight, and the excellent museum provides cultural background.

Black Watch (3T+)

Day 6 - Tórshavn, Faroe Islands

Named after the Norse god Thor (the god of thunder), Tórshavn is one of the world’s smallest capitals. Behind the harbour and a charming tiny old-town lies a compact commercial centre that comes merrily to life on summer nights.

Black Watch (3T+)

Day 7 - Kirkwall, Orkney Islands

Orkney’s capital is vibrant, busy and the islands’ largest town. Shops, bars and restaurants are in abundance and for wildlife enthusiasts there is no place better as seals, puffins and dolphins are a regular sight. Perhaps visit a whisky distillery or find out about Kirkwall’s 10,000-year history at one of the many museums.
