Day 1 London - Miami
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport and your direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Miami. On arrival, we transfer to our well-appointed hotel, the Marriott Biscayne Bay (4T), for an overnight stay.
Day 2 - Miami
This morning we enjoy a sightseeing tour of Miami, famous for its Art Deco architecture along Ocean Drive, its white sandy beaches and rich Latin culture. Later we embark our ship, the Norwegian Jewel (3T+), for an early evening sailing.
Days 3-4 - At sea
We spend two full days sailing the Caribbean Sea, giving you time to familiarise yourself with the superb facilities on board. Maybe take a dip in the pool, practise your swing in the golf driving nets or browse through the Galleria shops.
Day 5 - Cartagena, Colombia
Early this morning we arrive in the Colombian city of Cartagena, founded in 1533. The walled Old Town, with its brightly painted colonial mansions, elegant churches, wide plazas and neat cobbled lanes is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a joy to explore. Visit the imposing Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, dating from the 17th century, the 16th century cathedral, badly damaged by cannonballs fired from the ships of Sir Francis Drake in 1586 and the Palace of the Inquisition, a fine colonial building which is now a museum.
Day 6 - Daylight Panama Canal Transit
We experience one of the world’s great cruising experiences today as we transit the 81km-long engineering marvel of the Panama Canal, passing through three impressive lock systems and alongside lush tropical rainforest as we make our way to the Pacific Ocean.
Day 7 - At sea
Relax on board your ship today as we sail along the Pacific coastline of Central America.
Day 8 - Puntarenas, Costa Rica
The Norwegian Jewel arrives in the port of Puntarenas this morning, the gateway to Costa Rica’s spectacular rainforests and national parks, which are home to a rich variety of wildlife including howler monkeys, sloths, giant anteaters, jaguars and almost 900 species of birds, as well as countless tropical plants such as bromeliads, orchids and ferns. We leave early this evening.
Day 9 - Corinto, Nicaragua
This morning we arrive in the small Nicaraguan port town of Corinto. There are attractive white sand beaches nearby where you can relax and enjoy the sunshine, while the town itself has some very good seafood restaurants and plenty of shops.
Day 10 - Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala
Today we arrive in Guatemala’s biggest Pacific port city, Puerto Quetzal. Travelling inland, you’ll come upon the city of Antigua, founded by the Spanish in the 16th century and today a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its elegant colonial architecture and baroque churches. Three volcanoes watch over Antigua, while the city is surrounded by coffee plantations and rainforest. We leave early this evening.
Day 11 - Puerto Chiapas, Mexico
Puerto Chiapas is the first of our five ports of call in Mexico, and our base for exploring the southern state of Chiapas. Just inland is the bustling modern city of Tapachula, and nearby you’ll find the fascinating ancient Mayan site of Izapa, which features step pyramids, plazas, ball courts and intricately carved stone steles.
Day 12 - Huatulco
This morning we arrive in the coastal resort of Huatulco, based around nine beautiful bays, which has been awarded the prestigious Green Globe certification for sustainable tourist development. Nearby sights of interest include Huatulco National Park, which encompasses varied habitats providing homes for native creatures such as ocelots, pumas, anteaters and various parrot species and the pre-Colombian ruins at Copalita.
Day 13 - At sea
Enjoy a day at leisure aboard your ship. Maybe try out the hot tubs or indulge in a massage in the Bora Bora Health Spa.
Day 14 - Puerto Vallarta
Set on the lovely Bahia de Banderas, Puerto Vallarta is one of Mexico’s most attractive beach resorts, brought to wider world attention by the 1963 film ‘Night of the Iguana’, which was filmed nearby. Enjoy a spot of sunbathing on the miles of soft sandy beaches, take a wander around the picturesque old town, or take a trip to Las Caletas Hideaway.
Day 15 - Mazatlán
Today we visit another of Mexico’s pretty coastal resorts, Mazatlán. Take a walk through the ‘Zona Dorada’ (Golden Zone), the more modern part of town filled with fashionable shops and restaurants and explore the historic Old Town, with its attractive plazas, churches, 19th century architecture and art galleries. You could also take a boat trip to the nearby lagoons to observe cranes, pelicans, flamingos and ospreys in their native habitat.
Day 16 - Cabo San Lucas
Cabo San Lucas, once a sleepy fishing village, is renowned for its mesmerising natural beauty, its picture-postcard beaches and rich marine life, with whale-watching boat tours a popular local excursion. You could also try snorkelling or parasailing in the inviting waters here, or simply relax on the beach.
Day 17 - At sea
Enjoy a show in the onboard theatre or relax on deck as we spend a day at sea.
Day 18 Los Angeles - In flight
Early arrival in Los Angeles where we disembark and are taken to Los Angeles Airport for our direct, scheduled British Airways flight to London.
Day 19 London
Arrival at London Heathrow Airport where you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
