You’ll want to keep your camera at the ready this morning as we journey from Vancouver to Whistler, passing soaring mountain scenery along the way. Edged by thick alpine forest and world-famous ski-runs, the gabled village of Whistler is the stuff dreams of alpine Canada are made of.

The rest of the day is at leisure. Perhaps explore the village itself with its art centres, museums, and an abundance of shops, restaurants and cafés. Go for a leisurely stroll or sit back and enjoy one of the many sunny patios.

Day 4 Whistler

You’re free to explore Whistler and its surrounding mountain landscapes at leisure today. Get to know the stunning landscape with beautiful walking trails for varying abilities, or choose to join an optional excursion to search for local wildlife. Maybe you’ll spot a deer, pika, hare, chipmunk or even a black bear. You might even hear the unique call of the marmot - a rock dwelling rodent that whistles to warn other marmots of danger - and the reason behind Whistler’s name.

Day 5 Sun Peaks

We travel on to Sun Peaks. This tranquil, car-free alpine resort is a great base for further exploration into Canada’s mountainscape, vibrantly coloured by wildflowers in the warmer summer months. Maybe get to know the friendly locals as you try out one of the inviting restaurants for a bite to eat.

Day 6 Jasper

We tour incredible Jasper National Park today - home to world-famous natural sites and some of North America's rarest animals, including grizzly bears, moose, caribou and wolves.

We’ll see Maligne Canyon, over 50 metres deep at some points; serene Medicine Lake, which varies in depth by season, and Maligne Lake, well known for its stunning azure water.

Before heading to bed, look out at the breathtaking night sky- the region boasts the world’s largest dark sky preserve for stargazing. A wonderfully atmospheric end to a day full of nature.

Day 7 Jasper

There’s the opportunity to explore the town of Jasper today. Enjoy the slower pace of this small, friendly town - maybe take a tour of Canada’s first park-based brewery, browse the local museum to learn all about the history of the National Park, and sample some of the delicious local Canadian cuisine for lunch.

We’ll enjoy dinner this evening with an interpretative talk.
