Join this journey aboard Fred. Olsen’s Black Watch to take advantage of the ship’s smaller size and uncover the wonders of remote regions in Greenland, Iceland and Norway. Expect breathtaking scenery, spectacular natural attractions and a host of incredible experiences, beginning in Reykjavik - the gateway to some of Iceland’s greatest and most famous natural wonders. We divert to Greenland and Tasiilaq to view the mountains and icebergs surrounding this tiny town’s collection of colourful houses. Returning to Iceland, Akureyri is your gateway to Godafoss and tranquil Lake Mývatn, before scenic cruising along Eyjafjörður, past the island of Hrísey and Reyðarfjörður. Finally you’ll experience the incredible scenery for which Norway is renowned, in Ålesund and the charming village of Olden, before setting sail back along the Nordfjord as you head for home.

Days 2-3 - At sea

Spend two days relaxing at sea.

Day 4 - Reykjavik, Iceland

Iceland’s stunning capital, Reykjavik is small yet bursting with colourful houses, interesting museums, delightful cafés and restaurants. Or choose to visit the world-famous Blue Lagoon, a natural geo-thermal seawater spa. People first began to bath in the unique waters in 1976 and improved skin care was reported; now the Blue Lagoon is renowned worldwide for its luxurious minerals. Other unmissable highlights include the monumental church, the Halgrimskirkja, the protected Thingvellir National Park and the Gullfoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, two of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls dramatically cascading over breathtaking scenery.

Day 5 - At sea

Enjoy the onboard activities and facilities as we sail towards Greenland.

Day 6 - Tasiilaq, Greenland

Eastern Greenland’s largest town, Tasiilaq is a beautiful town on the edge of a magnificent fjord with dramatic scenery of mountains and icebergs. Roam this remote, traditional town to admire the charming, colourful houses and visit the Ammassalik Museum - located in the town’s first ever church, the museum exhibits artefacts such as Greenlandic masks, local artists’ sculptures and traditional kayaks and sleds. Additionally, due to its incredible position, Tasiilaq is a wonderful place for adventure such as hiking, dog-sledging and watching for sea eagles, seals and foxes. Ship to shore tender service.

Day 7 - At sea

Day 8 - Akureyri, Iceland - Cruising Eyjafjörður and Hrísey

This morning we arrive in Akureyri, one of Northern Iceland’s most beautiful towns hosting impressive scenery, incredible wildlife and fascinating museums and galleries. While in town you can’t miss the landmark Art Deco church, built in 1940. You might also like to take a sightseeing tour to Godafoss, ‘Waterfall of the Gods’ and the volcanic landscapes around Lake Myvatn. This evening we depart from Akureyri and cruise Eyjafjörður - the longest fjord in Iceland, where nature lovers are bound to be in their element with views of humpback and minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and porpoises all possible. We also pass pretty Hrisey Island, where around 200 people live alongside some 40 bird species, including ptarmigans and Arctic terns.

Day 9 - Cruising Reyðarfjörður

View stunning lush-green landscapes, incredible mountains and spectacular cliffs as we cruise along Iceland’s longest and widest eastern fjord, Reyðarfjörður.

Day 11 - Ålesund

Arrive in Ålesund, Norway’s city that was completely rebuilt in a just three years following a fire in 1904. Rising from the ashes, Ålesund now has impressive art-nouveau towers and turrets, soaring spires and beautiful balconies, as well as being home to numerous galleries. The towering Mount Aksla resides alongside the city; you can join an exhilarating adventure climbing 418 steps to the top, where breathtaking panoramic views over the city await.

Day 12 - Olden, Norway - Cruising Nordfjord and Hornelen

We dock at the village of Olden early this morning. Disembark to discover the immaculate scenery of this village set among charming green meadows. Discover the nearby Briksdal Glacier, situated between cascading waterfalls and soaring peaks in the beautiful Jostedalsbreen National Park. Later this evening we begin cruising along one of Norway’s longest, unforgettable fjords, Nordfjord and past Europe’s highest sea cliff, the breathtaking Hornelen. Ship to shore tender service.

Days 13-14 - At sea

Enjoy your last days on board Black Watch as we make our way back to Liverpool.

We disembark after breakfast and you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
