Day 1 Southampton
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to Southampton. Embark Braemar (3.5-star) in preparation for a late afternoon sailing.
Day 2 At sea
En route to Spain, you’re free to do as much (or as little) as you wish. Maybe start your day off with a brisk walk around the deck. Or opt for a yoga class. Spend the afternoon learning a craft, or perfecting your golf swing. After your choice of dinner, you can catch a show or dance into the night.
Day 3 La Coruña, Spain
We arrive in Galicia’s capital late morning. Spend your time here exploring the compact old quarter, with its arcaded square, narrow lanes and Roman walls. Or wander along the seafront promenade, perhaps stopping for an empanada pastry and a cold Estrella beer (both local favourites).
Days 4-5 At sea
Two free days as we continue our cruise. Enjoy a hearty breakfast then take your pick from the variety of activities on board. Show off your general knowledge in an afternoon or evening quiz. Try your hand at bridge, bingo or deck quoits. Or indulge in a traditional afternoon tea to while away your time. Top off the day with a sumptuous dinner or a simple tasty buffet.
Day 6 Cartagena
Rounding Spain’s south-east corner, we’ll call at the historic port city of Cartagena. Marvel at the murals and mosaics in Casa de la Fortuna, see the city’s Roman amphitheatre, or perhaps take in the harbour views from Castillo de la Conception. If you’d rather take it easy, the marina is home to plenty of bars and cafés for drinks and tapas.
Day 7 Ibiza
Ibiza might have a party animal reputation, but there’s more to this pine-clad island than meets the eye. The capital’s UNESCO-listed old town is well worth exploring, with winding cobbled streets snaking up to a hilltop church and a series of panoramic terraces. If the sun’s shining, you might like to head to one of the island’s sandy beaches instead.
Day 8 Barcelona
There’s plenty to keep you busy in Barcelona. Gaze up at the soaring spires of the Sagrada Familia; stroll through the narrow lanes and palm-edges plazas of the Gothic quarter; taste Iberian ham, net-fresh seafood and garlicky olives at La Boqueria market. There are also dozens of fantastic museums and galleries to explore.
Day 9 Marseille, France
We’ll dock close to the heart of the action this morning, so you can get straight into exploring Marseille. Delve into the lively Old Port or historic Le Panier districts, or perhaps visit one of the city’s superb museums.
Day 10 Menorca, Spain
Mahon is Menorca’s lovely capital city, and easily explored on foot. Discover its Georgian architecture and hushed churches, or relax at a pavement café with a G&T (made with Menorcan gin, of course). Further afield, the island offers up white-sand beaches and miles of walking and cycling routes. If you fancy treating yourself for lunch, lobster stew is a speciality.
Day 11 At sea
Spend the day on board. Maybe read a book and relax or choose to listen to a fascinating talk by a guest speaker. Enjoy lunchtime melodies or a piano recital, then walk a mile with the cruise fitness instructor.
Day 12 Càdiz
Spend the morning getting to know Càdiz. The city boasts an 18th century cathedral and more than 100 watchtowers, plus countless tapas bars and seafood restaurants serving delicious local dishes. We set sail early afternoon.
Day 13 Lisbon, Portugal
Lisbon sprawls across seven hills, all overlooking the estuary of the River Tagus. Make your way up on foot or on one of the city’s iconic yellow trams, admiring tiled houses and baroque churches along the way. Reward yourself for a morning’s sightseeing with a traditional pastel de nata - a delicious, cinnamon-dusted custard tart. We set sail early afternoon.
Days 14-15 At sea
As we sail home you may want to rest after all your sightseeing. If you’re still full of energy, there‘s lots to fill your two free days - from quizzes, games and music recitals to walks on deck and dance classes. And of course there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy all the tasty food options.
Day 16 Southampton
We arrive back in Southampton early this morning, disembarking after breakfast. Upon arrival, your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
