Day 1 - Dover
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to Dover. On arrival, you’ll embark Spirit of Discovery (5T) ready for a late afternoon sailing.
Day 2 - 4 - At sea
Day 5 - Gibraltar, UK
Gibraltar has a one-of-a-kind atmosphere which can be felt on a stroll along Main Street. Indulge in a spot of duty-free shopping whilst looking for signs of British heritage - you’ll notice the familiar architecture, money and language. Perhaps set out to the top of the Rock to enjoy brunch with a view, a glass of Buck’s Fizz, and a magical performance by concert pianist Aaron Monteverde.
Day 6 - Cartagena, Spain
Enjoy this unassuming coastal city which has a long maritime history. At the National Museum of Underwater Archaeology, you can learn about ancient seafarers. As you walk around, see the life-size sculpture of a whale tail in the port, count the cannons at the Naval Museum or dust off the city’s Roman roots on a climb to the well-preserved hilltop theatre. Alternatively, join a spirited visit to Experiencia 43 for a tour of a family-run liqueur factory, topped off with a tasting of this Spanish favourite.
Day 7 - At sea
Day 8 - Sète, France
Known as the Venice of Languedoc, Sète’s enchanting canals and waterfront houses are completely charming. In the distance, Mont St Claire rises where you’ll find the hillside villas and ateliers of the high town. This is a working town, so soak up the busy and bustling Mediterranean atmosphere as we wander the streets. From here you may like to venture to the hulking medieval fortress town of Carcassonne.
Day 9 - Barcelona, Spain
Best known as the home of Gaudi and Picasso, Barcelona is a city shaped by its eclectic art and architecture. You can enjoy a stroll along Ramblas, the main shopping avenue, a short walk from the port. Drop in one of the tapas bars for a bite-sized taste of Spain whilst seeking out must-see sights that include the Gothic Quarter, the stunning UNESCO-protected Sagrada Familia church and Parc Güell. There’s also the chance to visit Gaudi’s Gothic-themed Casa Figueres followed by a tour of Casa de les Punxes.
Day 10 - Alicante
Set around a wide, curving bay backed by rugged mountains, it’s the main town on Spain’s Costa Blanca, so called for its white sand beaches. It’s had a varied history of Greek, Roman and Moorish rule, and historical sites include the 18th century town hall and Santa Barbara castle. Perhaps take a stroll along its palm-shaded promenade, one of Spain’s finest, followed by a refreshing glass of sangria. Alternatively, you can visit Elche to see its UNESCO-listed oasis of palms laid out in the 10th century.
Day 11 - At sea
Day 12 - Lisbon, Portugal
Cruise under the 25 de Abril Bridge to reach Lisbon which is spread across seven hills and segmented into different districts that offer a look at the city throughout the ages. Explore the narrow streets of the hotchpotch Alfama district, admire the elegant 18th century architecture of Baixa Pombalina or go shopping in neighbouring Chiado. Be sure to seek out the UNESCO-listed Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries, which reflect Lisbon’s sea history.
Day 13 - 14 - At sea
Day 15 Dover
Early this morning we arrive back in Dover and your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
