Days 2-4 - At sea
Time to familiarise yourself with the facilities on board or simply relax on the Marquee deck.
Day 5 - Funchal, Madeira (overnight)
Our first port of call is fragrant Funchal - a beautiful floating botanical garden. For the best photos of truly incredible panoramic views over Monte and the island’s capital, take a ride on the Monte Cable Car. Monte station is located near the Monte Palace Tropical Garden at Caminho das Babosas, where a huge collection of exotic plants are paired with Portuguese and Oriental designs, adding further beauty to the views. Alternatively you may like to take in the breathtaking panoramas from Porto Moniz, an idyllic fishing village, or delve into the scenery with a hike through the outstanding Laurel Forest.
Day 7 - Santa Cruz, La Palma
We arrive early in Santa Cruz, home to stunning palaces, sumptuous merchants’ houses and a grand town hall that make it one of the prettiest towns of the archipelago. There are also magnificent religious buildings including Renaissance-style Church of El Salvador, with a tower of volcanic stone. A selection of excursions available today may include the opportunity to sample local wines at the Bodega Carballo wine cellar, to walk through pre-historic jungle bursting with leafy vegetation, to visit Fuencaliente, once a well-known spa town thanks to the hot water springs that were believed to treat leprosy, or to take in impressive views of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park. The park is home to large craters, over five miles in diameter.
Day 8 - Santa Cruz, Tenerife
The largest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife is a hugely popular cruise destination for good reason. With warm weather, rich culture and incredible beaches, Tenerife is the perfect location to relax and unwind. From the port of Santa Cruz, you can easily reach the elegant beach resort of Puerto de la Cruz, the banana and pineapple plantations of the beautiful Orotava Valley, and the stunning volcanic scenery and views of El Teide National Park. Discover the mysterious terraced structures known as the Pyramids of Güimar and marvel at some of the most dangerous plants in the world.
Day 9 - Las Palmas, Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria has year-round warmth, making the island all the more appealing when the nights are cold and dark back home. Vegueta, the oldest part of Las Palmas, is where the finest examples of the city’s extensive historic architecture can be found, barely altered since the 14th century. Absorb the mix of Renaissance, Gothic and Neo-Classical architecture, learn of Christopher Columbus’ time on the island and his ground-breaking voyages, or relax by the oasis-like sand dunes and palm trees of Maspalomas Beach.
Day 10 - Arrecife, Lanzarote
Make the most of your time in Lanzarote with an excursion to the lunar landscape of Timanfaya National Park to witness demonstrations that highlight the strength of volcanic heat, or visit Jameos del Agua Cave, formed by volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago and now home to unique miniature white crabs and Cesar Manrique’s unique cactus garden. You don’t need to venture out of town for views over The Fire Mountains - spend your day exploring Arrecife and then climb the island’s only sky scraper, Gran Hotel Arrecife, to view the volcano while enjoying a refreshing drink in the hotel’s top floor bar.
Day 11 - At sea
Enjoy a day on board as we sail towards Portugal.
Day 12 - Lisbon, Portugal
Our last stop is bountiful Lisbon, where the streets are sprinkled with art nouveau cafés and individual bars. Stop by and treat your taste buds to aromatic Portuguese cuisine in the tiny patio restaurants in the old quarters, while fadistas perform their traditional melodies. Lisbon has many fascinating museums, including the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, the National Museum of Contemporary Art and the Carmo Archaeological Museum. Overlooking Alfama, the city’s oldest quarter, is the medieval Castle of São Jorge - royal residence until the early 16th century, it now offers the best views of the city. If souvenirs and trinkets are what you are looking for, roam the flea market at Campo de Santa Clara.
Days 13-14 - At sea
Take two days to indulge in relaxation and delicious treats.
Day 15 Southampton
Early this morning we arrive in Southampton, disembarking after breakfast. You will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
