  • Day 2 - Honfleur (Paris), France

    The picturesque port of Honfleur has a peaceful setting along the Seine that has attracted many artists and writers. It’s a beautiful place to take a stroll, however you might prefer to take an excursion to Rouen, a pretty town frequently painted by Claude Monet and associated with Joan of Arc; see the WWII memorial and museum for peace in Caen; or maybe journey to Paris.

  • Day 3 - St Peter Port, Guernsey

    St Peter Port is a small capital of steep narrow streets and stepped alleys overlooking slopes. Visit Castle Cornet, Guernsey’s most important fortification, or take a coach to the fascinating German Occupation Museum. Alternatively, walk some of the many trails on the island. Some follow the rugged coastline to secret bays and ruined forts, while others wind inland through pretty woods, farms and villages. Ship to shore tender service.

  • Day 4 - Brest, France

    During your day in Brest, explore its natural harbour - one of France’s most beautiful. And maybe visit Océanopolis, the only ocean discovery centre of its kind in Europe, with its enormous aquariums and a seal clinic. Visitors are welcomed to interact with some of the marine animals.

  • Day 5 - La Rochelle

    La Rochelle is enchanting! Take a wander along its bustling harbour, lined with sun-bleached merchants houses and guarded by three medieval towers. The Four Sergeants Tower is a former prison, and you can see where corsairs scrawled graffiti on the walls. Then take a seat outside one of the oceanfront restaurants and have a delicious seafood lunch while watching the sailboats.

  • Days 6-7 - Bordeaux (overnight)

    Aptly known as the world's wine capital, Bordeaux has about 9,000 wine-producing châteaux, and 13,000 grape growers. With two days here, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to try some of the 700 million bottles produced each year, between your choices of city tours or ventures into nearby villages, castles and châteaux full of historical character.

  • Day 8 - Bilbao, Spain

    Bilbao’s modern city centre includes Guggenheim Museum-Bilbao, the remarkable museum dedicated to modern art. Your choice of excursions might include a tapas masterclass, a clifftop walk or a tour of Bilbao's Old Quarter, the heart of the city where the narrow streets are lined with Renaissance, baroque and modernist buildings.

  • Day 9 - Gijon

    Gijon has beautiful beaches to relax on and plenty around the city for art lovers and historians. The Campo Valdés Roman Baths are considered one of the most important Roman remains in northern Spain. There are ample opportunities to experience the local culture with a stroll through the streets of Cimavilla (the oldest part of Gijon), the botanical gardens, and the local Ecological and Crafts Market.

  • Day 10 - La Coruña

    La Coruña is known as the ‘Glass City’ for its characteristic glazed-window balconies. Marina Avenue is lined with these galerias, which look their best when reflecting the late afternoon sun. The Atlantic coastline is the site of the Roman Tower of Hercules, a lighthouse that’s been guiding sailors for 2,000 years; and San Carlos Gardens, a historical park that can offer you some leafy shade and great views.

    Explore this fascinating fortified town or discover the picturesque medieval town of Dinan and its impressive clock tower and half-timbered houses.
