  • Day 3 - Rouen - Cruising River Seine

The ‘City of a Hundred Bells’, Rouen is the capital of the French region of Normandy. This 2,000-year-old port city on the River Seine, important in Roman times and the Middle Ages, is a city rich with monuments and museums. The skyline is dominated by the spires of Cathédrale Notre-Dame, much-painted by Claude Monet. The churches of Saint-Maclou and Saint-Ouen are also must-see attractions, two of the best examples of Gothic architecture in France and an important part of Rouen’s history.

  • Day 4 - At sea

As we sail south, you’re free to do as much (or as little) as you wish. Maybe start your day off with a brisk walk around the deck. Or opt for a yoga class. Spend the afternoon learning a craft, or perfecting your golf swing. After your choice of dinner, you can catch a show or dance into the night.

    Braemar (3.5-star)

  • Days 5-6 - Cruising Loire River - Nantes (overnight)

Much more than just the route into the heart of Nantes, the Loire - France’s longest river - is an undoubted highlight. Sailing this beautiful waterway makes for a relaxing and memorable experience, as you glide serenely through ever-changing landscapes, past charming cities, towns and villages. Nantes is a vibrant, friendly and welcoming city and we’ll stay here until the evening of day 6, so you have plenty of time to explore. The Château des ducs de Bretagne (Castle of the Dukes of Brittany) now serves as the Nantes History Museum and is a must-see. There are also several places to shop and enjoy a bite to eat or glass of wine in Place du Commerce.

    Braemar (3.5-star)

  • Day 7 - At sea

With a variety of experiences, events, classes and much more to enjoy, each day on board can be as varied as you wish. Situated on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, and with one of the world’s finest natural ports, the Galician gem of Vigo has been an important part of Spain’s maritime industry for centuries. Boasting a wonderful historic quarter, modern marina and pretty centre, this city is alive with attractions. The historic old quarter - like many of Vigo’s other attractions - is a great example of the influence the sea has had on the city.
