Day 1 - Southampton
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to Southampton, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Braemar (3T+) in preparation for a late evening sailing.
Day 2 - At sea
Ease into life on board with a relaxing day at sea, to discover all of the wonderful facilities, entertainment, activities and delicious cuisine.
Day 3 - La Pallice (La Rochelle), France
This morning we arrive in La Pallice, a stunning seaport located along France’s beautiful west coast with a chaotic history. Founded in the 10th century, La Pallice has remained a busy seaport since the 12th century, when fishing, sailing and trading began to thrive. Many battles and wars have taken place over the centuries and each has left a mark on the city including the Battle of La Rochelle, the French Wars of Religion, Siege of La Rochelle and the Second World War. Discover the remarkable Old Port to encounter magnificent architecture, historic monuments such as the soaring ‘Three Towers’.
Day 4 - Bordeaux (overnight)
Bordeaux is France’s mesmerising city known as the world’s wine capital, rich in beautiful, flourishing vineyards and delectable claret. This fine destination is also adored for its history with over 362 monuments to discover and beautiful architecture dating back to the Romans scattered throughout the region; interestingly, 1,810 hectares of the city centre is UNESCO-listed. You can also explore the impressive Place des Quinconces, one of Europe’s largest squares, home to even more historic monuments. We dock overnight here, providing ample time to explore.
Day 5 - Bordeaux - Cruising the Gironde and Garonne Rivers
We depart from Bordeaux this morning and cruise along the Gironde River and then the beautiful Garonne River, possibly the most important river in south-west France and arguably one of the region's most picturesque too.
Days 6-7 - At sea
Spend two calming days at sea.
Days 8-9 - Cruising the Guadalquivir River - Seville, Spain (overnight)
Unlike larger ships, Braemar can sail straight into the fabulous city of Seville, via the narrow and picturesque Guadalquivir River. This means you can experience all the excitement and festivity of the fabulous Feria de Abril from the moment you step ashore. Your overnight stay here coincides with the final day of this spectacular annual festival, so you can watch the horse-drawn carriages and flamenco dancers as they parade through the pretty streets, or even simply take in historic highlights such as the gothic cathedral and Plaza de España. Be sure to back on board your ship to enjoy unspoilt views of the fantastic fireworks at midnight.
Days 10-12 - At sea
We spend two days sailing back towards France.
Day 13 - Rouen, France (overnight)
Along the River Seine lies the 2,000-year old city of Rouen renowned for its elaborate collection of fascinating museums, monuments and picturesque half-timbered houses. Visit the city’s masterpiece, the grand Gothic Cathedral of Rouen which inspired Monet to paint over 30 beautiful canvasses. The cathedral is the largest in France and rich in history, art with impressive stained-glass windows dating back to 1210. Rouen Cathedral is found in the medieval Old Town along with a number of other impressive monuments such as the Church of Saint-Maclou - one of the best examples of the flamboyant style of Gothic architecture in France.
Day 14 - Rouen - Cruising the River Seine
Spend today exploring the fascinating city of Rouen some more and then late evening we sail along the beautiful River Seine.
Day 15 Southampton
We disembark after breakfast and you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
