Celebrate Christmas on the subtropical island of Madeira, where colourful displays of festive lights turn Funchal into a truly picturesque town. The ‘Pearl of the Atlantic’, is an exotic island garden with lush cultivated terraces, rugged mountain interior, rocky coastline and a proliferation of flowers.

Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for the journey to London Gatwick Airport and a direct, scheduled TAP Portugal flight to Funchal. On arrival, you will be transferred to the Pestana Casino Park (5T) and greeted with a complimentary welcome drink.
Day 2 Funchal
This morning we depart on a tour of Funchal and a guided walk through the flower market, a riot of colour with the exotic orchid and bird-of-paradise flowers, an array of freshly-caught fish and succulent fruits harvested locally. We visit ‘Patricio & Gouveia’, a leading embroidery factory, where the intricate work of exquisite patterns can be seen. Following a visit to the Botanical Gardens, the tour concludes at the Madeira Wine Company, where you may wish to sample the local wine.
Day 3 Christmas Eve - Funchal
After a leisurely breakfast, there is time for shopping in Funchal, further exploration of the island, or relaxing in the delightful surrounds of your hotel. This evening, a Christmas Eve gala dinner will be served and accompanied by musical entertainment in the hotel’s restaurant. Those wishing to participate in the Christmas Eve celebrations are free to do so and your local representative will be happy to advise you on this.
Please note: A formal dress code applies for Christmas Eve Gala Dinner, gentlemen are required to wear a dinner jacket.
Day 4 Christmas Day - Funchal
Today you are free to relax in your lovely surroundings. A buffet lunch will be served.
Day 5 Boxing Day - Eira do Serrado - Monte
This morning, we have arranged a tour into the heart of the island, from where there are breathtaking views down into the valley, surrounded by volcanic mountains. We travel on to Monte, a hill-town above Funchal, to visit Lady of the Church of Nossa Senhora do Monte set in its own evergreen gardens. Dinner is included this evening.
Day 6 Funchal
Today is at leisure to further explore Funchal. However, for those wishing to discover the natural beauty this island has to offer, there is an optional tour which encompasses Pico da Torre viewpoint, marked by a cross dedicated to the National Revolution, overlooking picturesque bays; and Cabo Girao viewpoint, sitting on the highest promontory in Europe at 580m. Continue through the mountains to Sao Vicente, set where a beautiful valley meets the sea, and visit Pousada dos Vinhaticos, surrounded by a lush undulating landscape 900m above sea level.
Day 7 Funchal
Today is free. This morning there is an opportunity to take an optional visit to Pico do Arieiro. From Funchal you will journey to Terreiro da Luta to visit the monument of Our Lady of Peace, followed by a drive along beautiful peaceful roads to Madeira’s third highest peak, Pico do Arieiro. Travelling back down through Santo da Serra to the eastern point of Ponta de Sao Lourenco to experience magnificent views, your final stop will be at Matur to enjoy the view of Machico village.
Day 8 Funchal - London
We transfer to Funchal Airport for a direct, scheduled TAP Portugal flight to London Gatwick Airport. On arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
In an excellent cliff-top location, in a tropical garden setting and overlooking the Atlantic with views of Cabo Girão, Europe’s highest sea cliff. Your standard room includes air conditioning, cable TV, telephone, hairdryer and a large balcony. The hotel has two large outdoor and one indoor swimming pools, lifts including a private lift with direct access to the natural beach of Praia Formosa and a Health & Fitness Club & Spa.
