Day 1 - London Tilbury
At London Tilbury Port, embark Magellan (3T) in preparation for an afternoon sailing.
Day 2 - Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Our first stop is at the charming Dutch capital, Amsterdam; a characterful city with a thriving art scene. There are a number of enthralling art galleries and fascinating museums to visit including the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum and the Stedelijk Museum. Or make a poignant visit to Anne Frank House, to see the small property in which she lived in hiding during World War II. You can also explore the pretty streets and tree-lined canals, gabled merchant houses, charming cafés and picturesque bridges.
Day 3 - At sea
Enjoy a leisurely day at sea.
Day 4 - Eidfjord, Norway - Cruising Sognefjord
Situated along the stunning Hardangerfjord is Eidfjord, surrounded by magnificent mountains reaching an impressive 1,900 metres in height. It is the gateway to the incredible Hardangervidda, a spectacular mountain plateau and protected National Park in southern Norway. Visit the old church dating back to 1309, and the breathtaking Vøringfossen waterfall, the highest in Norway. This afternoon we cruise along Sognefjord, Norway’s longest and deepest fjord that has been rewarded UNESCO World Heritage status.
Day 5 - Flåm - Cruising Nærøyfjord
This morning we arrive in picturesque Flåm, admired for its railway credited as one of the world’s steepest and most spectacular, travelling through wild and breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable mountainous scenery. This afternoon is spent cruising along UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, a beautiful narrow fjord of the Sognefjord boasting breathtaking mountainous scenery.
Day 6 - Bergen
Arrive in the beautiful city of Bergen, ‘the gateway to the fjords’. Despite only having less than a quarter of a million inhabitants, Bergen is Norway’s second largest city and is a lovely place to explore with its homely, small-town ambience. The city itself is situated against a backdrop of seven magnificent mountains which can be admired on an impressive funicular ride to the summit of Mount Fløien which provides breathtaking panoramic views of Bergen, the surrounding scenery and beautiful coastline. The harbour is a wonderful place featuring beautiful wooden gabled buildings and Hanseatic merchants’ houses and offices now renovated into delightful shops selling traditional crafts and souvenirs.
Day 7 - At sea
Enjoy a day at sea with onboard activities.
Day 8 London Tilbury
Arrive at London Tilbury Port.
