Day 1 - Dover
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to Dover. On arrival, you’ll embark Spirit of Discovery (5T) ready for a late afternoon sailing.
Day 2 - At sea
Day 2 - Kristiansand, Norway
Cruise to Norway’s southern Skagerrak coast, Europe’s ‘coolest’ riviera. This is where Norwegians seek summer sun, yet it’s blissfully uncrowded. In place of the mass development you might expect, there’s just the occasional painted waterfront house.
Visit Kristiansand, founded in 1641 by King Christian IV. The centre covers an area of one square kilometre, with streets laid out in a distinctive block pattern. Explore here or journey into Norway’s past on a ride aboard the Setesdal Steam Railway. The train trundles through the Setesdal Valley, revealing idyllic pastoral scenery at every turn.
Day 4 - Bergen
Enjoy the scenery as we cruise up to the waterfront city of Bergen. The main highlights of this UNESCO World Heritage city can be admired up on deck but you’re sure to want to take a closer look at the brightly painted clapboard houses and medieval Bryggen wharf. Founded on the site of a Viking settlement, you can learn about the city's fascinating history at the Bryggens Museum. If you love a breathtaking panorama, join an excursion to the summit of Mount Ulrikken, reached by aerial tramway.
Day 5 - Ålesund
Ålesund has a scenically stunning island setting within sight of the mainland. It’s famous for its concentration of art nouveau architecture - join a sightseeing tour to learn about the fire which changed the face of Ålesund, or embark on a boat ride through the beautiful Geirangerfjord. Alternatively, learn how to turn klipp-fisk - dried cod - into a delicious dish during a class at the Atlantic Ocean Centre.
Day 6 - Haugesund
From moors and mountains, to fjords and waterfalls, Haugesund is surrounded by outstanding natural beauty. This small but vibrant port once prospered from herring fishing, but it’s better known as the home of the Viking kings. Trace the legacy of Harald Hårfagre, the Viking who united Norway and became its first king more than 1,000 years ago. His burial mound is now a national monument that depicts scenes of his life, as told by the sagas of old. Other attractions include the pink neo-classical city hall and unexpected memorial to Marilyn Monroe. Alternatively, enjoy a thrilling ride on a rigid-inflatable boat (RIB) to the quaint island of Rovaer to learn about the self-sufficient lifestyle of its 110 residents.
Day 7 - At sea
