Summary

Often referred to as Green Spain, its far north is home to verdant and lush areas of land, far removed from the hotter southerly cities. On this 14-day cruise, we’ll visit two cities of Galicia - La Coruña and Vigo - to experience this different side of Spain. Continuing to Seville, an overnight stay means you have plenty of time to explore, before a stop in ancient Cádiz. Sailing home we’ll call in at Nantes, followed by scenic sailing along the Loire River.

    Day 1 - Southampton

    Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to Southampton. Embark our ship in preparation for a late afternoon sailing.

    Day 2 - At sea

    As we sail towards Spain, you’re free to do as much (or as little) as you wish. Maybe start your day off with a brisk walk around the deck. Or opt for a yoga class. Spend the afternoon learning a craft, or perfecting your golf swing. After your choice of dinner, you can catch a show or dance into the night.

    Day 3 - La Coruña, Spain

    Our first port of call in Spain is La Coruña, the regional capital of Galicia. Stroll along the seafront, perhaps with an empanada pastry in hand, or weave through the narrow lanes of the atmospheric old quarter.

    Day 4 - Vigo

    Vigo boasts a beautiful natural port, which has played an essential part in Spain’s maritime history. Many of the city’s attractions reflect the influence of the sea, from the narrow streets of Cidade Vella, lined with old fishing houses, to the large fish markets. Maybe stroll through the old town, or enjoy the leafy parks.

    Day 5 - At sea

    Today is free as we continue our cruise. Enjoy a hearty breakfast then take your pick from the variety of activities on board. Show off your general knowledge in an afternoon or evening quiz. Try your hand at bridge, bingo or deck quoits. Or indulge in a traditional afternoon tea to while away your time. Top off the day with a sumptuous dinner or a simple tasty buffet.

    Days 6-7 - Seville (overnight)

    Today we dock in the heart of Seville and staying overnight allows you plenty of time to see the sights. As you explore, you’ll find reminders of Seville’s Moorish roots, like the Alcázar (royal palace) and the soaring Giralda tower. The city’s cathedral is recognised by UNESCO for its historical and cultural importance - it contains the tomb of Christopher Columbus as well as some wonderful works of art. You might like to visit the spectacular Royal Tobacco Factory, setting of the opera ‘Carmen’. Or stroll through beautiful Parque de Maria Luisa, filled with exotic trees, ponds and grand pavilions.

  • Cádiz

    Day 8 - Cádiz

    Cádiz is one of Europe’s oldest cities - spend time ambling in the jumble of streets that form the ancient centre. Torre Tavira was Cádiz’s official watchtower when it was built in 1778, and today makes a great viewing platform to look out over the rooftops, castles and the orange cupola of the cathedral.

    Days 9-10 - At sea

    Spend two days on board. Maybe read a book and relax or choose to listen to a fascinating talk by a guest speaker. Enjoy lunchtime melodies or a piano recital, and then walk a mile with the cruise fitness instructor.

    Day 11 - Nantes, France (overnight)

    Whether you want to see brilliant art, taste exquisite cuisine or enjoy the sight of a river, you’ll be able to it do all in Nantes, especially as we’ll dock overnight. You can learn more about this city by going on an optional tour or by exploring yourself and visiting the medieval quarter and the brilliant Château des ducs de Bretagne.

  • Cruising the Loire River

    Day 12 - Nantes - Cruising the Loire River

    We’ll depart this morning, to cruise along the Loire River running through the centre of France.

    Day 13 - At sea

    Keep your brain active with the morning quiz, then perfect your dance moves in the afternoon with a beginners’ class. After dinner, you could continue the dancing theme and join the hosted dancing, or choose to watch the professionals instead.

    Day 14 Southampton

    We arrive back in Southampton early this morning, disembarking after breakfast. Upon arrival, your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
