Day 2 - Cruising Nieuwe Maas - Rotterdam, Netherlands
Perhaps take your morning coffee on the top deck, as we pass lovely waterfront houses before arriving in Rotterdam. As we approach the city, you’ll see the soaring skyline appearing in the distance. Rotterdam is known for its futuristic architecture and wealth of spectacular museums. Spend your afternoon and evening in the old district, soaking up the beautiful historic buildings - be sure to stop by the New Church on the ‘Markt’, dating back to 1381.
Day 3 - Amsterdam
Tree-lined canals, gabled houses, and shops full of delectable cheeses, chocolates and waffles. It can only be Amsterdam. A treasure trove of museums and art galleries, you’ll have the whole day to really get stuck into the quirks of this city. Linger among the cobbled backstreets and browse characterful antique book shops, chic boutiques and many, many cafes. Uncover history at the Anne Frank museum, or stare in awe at the Rijksmuseum, where paintings from Rembrandt, Vermeer and Frans Hals are housed. The day is yours to spend as you please.
Days 4-5 - Antwerp, Belgium (overnight)
This morning we arrive in the charming medieval city of Antwerp. A maze of cobbled lanes and quaint architecture, this is Belgium’s sparkling (thanks to the booming diamond trade) second-largest city. Despite WWII bombings, the city has an undeniable medieval ambience which is completely enchanting. You might like to explore the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, dedicated to Rubens, or the city’s crowning glory - the towering Cathedral of Our Lady which dates back to 1352. Between all the sightseeing, indulge in the city’s robust café culture and stop for a brew to take it all in, or a spot of retail therapy on Meir. Don’t worry if you can’t see everything in one day, we’re docking overnight so there’s always tomorrow. We’ll have the morning to soak up the last moments in Antwerp on day 5. Perhaps start your day by watching the city’s main square, Fote Markt, bustle into life against its intricate 16th century backdrop.
Day 6 Southampton
We disembark after breakfast, where your Titan vehicle will meet you for the journey home.
