Day 1 - Southampton
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to Southampton, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Braemar (3T+) in preparation for a late evening sailing.
Days 2-4 - At sea
We spend our first three days relaxing at sea; the perfect opportunity to familiarise yourself with Braemar’s facilities and entertainment itinerary.
Day 5 - Málaga, Spain
Arrive in the fantastic city of Málaga, the birthplace of Picasso and a place of spectacular architecture and wonderful culture. Or travel to Granada to visit the impressive Alhambra Palace, Spain’s finest expression of Moorish Art and home to a striking 14th century palace and exquisite gardens. Alternatively, discover the delightful wine cellars scattered throughout the city, for a taste of the local tipple. Or, head to the wonderful sandy beach to soak up the glorious sun.
Day 6 - At sea
Relaxing day at sea.
Day 7 - Barcelona
We spend the whole day docked at Spain’s cosmopolitan second city and one of Europe’s unmissable destinations. Barcelona is rich in Catalan heritage and hosts a wealth of fascinating architecture and impressive museums and galleries; particularly the Old Town District, Ciutat Vella, a place of magnificent medieval buildings. The vibrant city centre mixes enchanting narrow streets, stylish boutiques, trendy cafes and modern shops with incredible UNESCO-listed structures - many of which were created by the world-famous architect Antoni Gaudi - to create Barcelona’s mesmerising appearance and lively cultural atmosphere. The city is also decorated with several delightful beaches, where you can reside on the beautiful sand admiring the stunning Mediterranean coastline.
Day 8 - Sète, France
In historic Languedoc-Roussillon, Sète is the Mediterranean's largest fishing port and a bustling harbour town. The authentic mood of the colourful Vieux Port, reserved for fishing boats, and the town's mellow facades, pedestrian streets, shaded squares, and many canals, bridges and quays offer delightful strolling. The quality of its light has attracted many artists, and the Paul Valery Gallery houses many interesting works.
Day 9 - Marseille
A major commercial port for the Mediterranean and one of France’s largest cities, Marseille boasts cosmopolitan flare and an abundance of traditional theatres, fine restaurants and twenty splendid museums. Highlights include the magnificent old quarter of Panier, the impressive 19th century Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde, Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Major and the spectacular ruins of Jardin, an archaeological site hosting the ancient remains of the city’s old Roman port. From Marseille, join an unforgettable optional excursion to the nearby Luberon region of Provence to explore the breathtaking lavender fields which thrive in the glorious summer months filling the atmosphere with the plant’s mesmerising fragrance.
Day 10 - Monte Carlo, Monaco
Discover the glamorous city of Monte Carlo today. Filled with a lavish collection of luxurious hotels, beautiful fountained parks, high-end shops and incredible glistening beach views, along with its wealth of extraordinary yachts docking in the sun-soaked harbour, Monte Carlo really is a truly fantastic place to explore. If you’re feeling lucky you can also visit one of the numerous casinos including the world-famous Place de Casino found here.
Day 11 - At sea
Settle back and relax as Braemar sails towards Cartagena.
Day 12 - Cartagena, Spain
This morning we arrive in the ancient city of Cartagena, bursting with enthralling history and culture. Cartagena has been one of Spain’s major port cities for the past 2,000 years and the Romans were the first to settle here, building Cartagena over five picturesque hills which all host exquisite views of the Mediterranean coastline. A few major monuments and landmarks from the Roman Cartagena still occupy the area today, one of which is the grand amphitheatre dating from around 100BC, along with the spectacular Roman Theatre, thought to have been constructed between 5 and 1 BC, and the impressive fortress as Concepción Castle used not only by the Romans but the Carthaginians, Visigoths, Arabs and Castilians. Cartagena also has a grand natural harbour and bay, where you can relax and take in the magnificent scenery.
Day 13 - At sea
Relax at sea as we cruise towards Portugal.
Day 14 - Lisbon, Portugal
Scattered across seven hills on the north of the River Tagus, Lisbon is a beautifully unique city hosting an enthralling collection of pretty palaces, art nouveau cafes, delightful gardens and ancient castles. Spectacular bridges also span the river, with the most famous being the Ponte 25 de Abril, which reflects San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge in its impressive architectural design, and the Ponte Vasco da Gama, which has over 11km of viaducts in its structure. Here you can also indulge in some shopping as Lisbon is home to the largest shopping centre on the Iberian Peninsula, the Centro Commercial Colombo with its fantastic array of upmarket shops.
Days 15-16 - At sea
We spend our final days sailing back to UK shores; enjoy some time bathing in the heat on the Sun Deck.
Day 17 Southampton
We disembark after breakfast and you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
