London - Lisbon, Portugal
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to London Heathrow or Gatwick Airport and a direct, scheduled British Airways or another leading airline flight to Lisbon. On arrival, you will be met by Voyages to Antiquity representatives and transferred to your hotel.
Discover the historic Belem Quarter, the riverside where the Caravels set sail on voyages to the New World in the 15th century. Enjoy a city tour visiting the famous Belem Tower, Monument to the Discoveries and Monastery of Jeronimos and later enjoy some free time exploring Rossio Square.
Day 3 - Lisbon
Enjoy a morning at leisure or take an optional tour to Sintra situated in the most western area of mainland Portugal and Continental Europe. This afternoon we transfer to embark Aegean Odyssey (4T).
Day 4 - Cadiz, Spain
You have a choice of two excursions in Cadiz this afternoon. Visit the city which is thought of as a bridge between Africa and Europe, before driving to the historic town of Jerez de la Frontera - home to world-famous sherry companies - for a tasting of delicious fortified wines. Or, tour the historic gems of the city, including a tobacco factory built in 1971, the ancient port of La Caleta, Santa Carlos Gate and the idyllic Cathedral of Cadiz.
Day 5 - Málaga
Today you have a choice of excursions. You can visit the city centre to see the Gothic cathedral and new museums, followed by a panoramic drive around Málaga capturing views of the city’s Mudejar and Gothic architecture, gardens and parks, until you visit the Picasso Museum to admire paintings, sculptures and drawings. Alternatively, take a scenic drive to Granada arriving at Alhambra Palace - utilised by the Nasris Sultans (1238-1492) to watch over the kingdom and surrounding area. We stop off at the wonderful Generalife Gardens, built to be the summer paradise for the Sultans of Granada.
Day 6 - At sea
We enjoy a leisurely day at sea as we sail towards Valencia.
Day 7 - Valencia
There is a choice of two Valencia tours today. Tour the city and visit some of Valencia’s most spectacular monuments including the Plaza de le Virgen Cathedral, 14th century church of the Knights Templar, North Station and Serranos and Quart Towers. Or take a panoramic tour of Valencia.
Day 8 - Barcelona
There are two included excursions to choose from today. Visit Barcino, the Roman city home to a unique underground museum and medieval buildings, or explore the amazing works of art Barcelona has to offer. Tour the Gothic Cathedral, Olympic Stadium and the National Art Museum of Catalunya, where you will find paintings by famous artists; El Greco, Velasquez and Miro.
Day 9 - Carcassonne, France
Choose between two included excursions today. On the first, you’ll explore two Roman cities: the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Carcassonne - home to 52 towers, a castle and miles of battlefields - and Narbonne, the first town to be founded by the Romans in the 2nd century BC. On the second, you’ll see Montpellier, founded by the counts of Toulouse in the 10th century; this historic town has one of Europe’s oldest universities dating back to the 12th century.
Day 10 - Marseille (overnight)
Enjoy a full day exploring the delights of Avignon. The town rose in the Middle Ages when French-born Popes fled Rome and made Avignon a place to rule Christendom, until 1407. Here you will visit the Pope’s Palace, Great Audience Hall, Palace Square and Horloge Square. Alternatively, spend the day touring Marseille and Aix-en-Provence.
Day 11 - Marseille - Monte Carlo, Monaco (overnight)
Enjoy a leisurely day at sea cruising the French Riviera, arriving in Monte Carlo this evening.
Day 12 - Monte Carlo
Enjoy a walking tour of Monte Carlo taking you to the Prince’s Palace, Oceanographic Museum and 19th century Romanesque Cathedral. Later, the tour takes you for a drive along part of the world-famous Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix Circuit. Alternatively, take a scenic drive from the port of Monte Carlo to Nice for a panoramic tour of the city and a ride along the Promenade des Anglais.
Day 13 - Portofino, Italy
Cruise alongside Cinque Terre this morning, then enjoy free time in glorious Portofino this afternoon.
Day 14 - Livorno (Florence)
Drive through the Tuscan hills to discover Florence, a fascinating city recognised as the birthplace of Renaissance. A guided walking tour will pass Giotto’s Bell Tower, Piazza della Signoria, Florence’s most impressive square and the Gothic Basilica di Santa Croce.
Civitavecchia - Rome
This morning we disembark in Civitavecchia and transfer to Rome, where there is a choice of two tours. Your tour of Ostia Antica begins at Via delle Tombe, leading to the city gates. Stroll along the Decumanus Maximus, the main road. Visit the Baths of Neptune with beautiful black-and-white mosaics of the god's wife, Amphitrite. Walk to the theatre, the Forum and such public buildings as the Capitolium and the Temple of Rome and Augustus. See the large thermal baths, the 20-hole public latrine and the living complex called the House of Diana. Alternatively, see the Colosseum and St Peter’s Basilica for an enriching day of Roman history. We transfer to our hotel for two nights.

Day 17 Rome - London
Transfer to Rome Airport for a British Airways or another leading airline flight to London Heathrow or Gatwick Airport. Upon arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
