Day 1 - London - Lisbon
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to London Heathrow or Gatwick Airport and a scheduled leading airline flight to Lisbon. On arrival, you are met by Voyages to Antiquity representatives who will assist with embarking Aegean Odyssey (4T).
Day 2 - Cadiz, Spain
This afternoon we reach Cadiz, where you can choose an exciting city tour viewing many beautiful monuments including its magnificent cathedral, or drive through the old city admiring the key landmarks before arriving in the historic town of Jerez de la Frontera. Jerez is celebrated for its collection of sherry companies, and we visit the Bodega Gonzalez Byass, producer of some of the world’s most delicious sherry, to taste their fortified wines and discover the unique cellars.
Day 3 - Málaga
Our scenic drive takes us past Andalucia’s colourful parks, stunning gardens and grand Mudejar and Gothic architecture to the impressive Gibralfaro Castle and Picasso Museum. Alternatively, there is the opportunity to enjoy a guided tour of Alhambra Palace. This former residence of the Nasrid Sultans has detailed stucco walls, knotted ceilings and exquisite courtyards hosting elaborate fountains. Complete the day with a panoramic tour through the city of Granada itself, filled with medieval and Moorish architecture.
Day 4 - At sea

Day 5 - Valencia
Valencia harmoniously combines the remains from an ancient history with the most modern, avant-garde buildings. See both aspects on a tour including the 14th century Knights Templar church and the Serranos and Quart Towers which formed part of the great city wall, the Gothic exterior of the beautiful Central Market and the modern City of Arts & Sciences. Alternatively, join a panoramic drive which showcases its outstanding place in the nation’s architectural and cultural history.
Day 6 - Barcelona
Explore the Roman city of Barcino, a unique underground museum, hidden beneath Barcelona’s medieval architecture. Or, discover the magnificent array of art with a visit to the National Art Museum of Catalunya, exhibiting works by the finest of artists. Or, experience a panoramic tour of Barcelona; highlights include the Columbus Monument, Ciutadella Park, the Olympic Ring and Stadium, and Gaudi’s magnificent Sagrada Familia. This afternoon you can join an optional excursion to find Antoni Gaudi’s spectacular architectural designs, including La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.
Day 7 - Sète, France
From Sète, a full-day tour begins through the beautiful Languedoc countryside to the fortified city of Carcassonne, with remarkable towers and ramparts that are recognised by UNESCO. Then visit Narbonne, the first town founded by the Romans in the 2nd century BC. Alternatively, visit Montpellier with a walking tour through the city, an exploration of 17th century Château de Flaugergues and a tasting of the estate’s wines in the cellars.
Day 8 - Marseille (overnight)
Explore Marseille, beginning at the ‘Vieux Port’ where the Greeks stepped ashore in 600 BC, and then the picturesque city of Aix-en-Provence, adored for its collection of ancient monuments and historic architecture. Or travel to Avignon, which rose to glory in the Middle Ages, to see the spectacular Pope’s Palace.
Day 9 - Marseille - Monte Carlo, Monaco (overnight)
Cruise the French Riviera to Monte Carlo, where we dock late this afternoon and remain overnight.
Day 10 - Monte Carlo
Enjoy sightseeing on the French Riviera with a drive along Nice’s Promenade des Anglais, lined with aristocratic palaces. A breathtaking drive along the Middle Corniche road takes us to the Rock, before a guided walking tour of glamorous Monte Carlo passing the Prince’s Palace and Romanesque Cathedral. Drive along part of the Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit to Casino Square before time at leisure.
Day 11 - Portofino, Italy
Cruise past picturesque Cinque Terre to Portofino, where we have time at leisure to discover this delightful fishing village.
Day 12 - Livorno (Florence)
Arrive in Florence, the remarkable birthplace of the Renaissance. Explore its churches and tour the spectacular Duomo or view sites of Renaissance significance, including the Uffizi Gallery, with breathtaking works including pieces by Leonardo da Vinci; and the Accademia, Europe’s first ever school of drawing. Alternatively, see the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the city of Lucca, home to grand Renaissance walls, stunning piazzas and ancient architecture.
Day 13 Rome
Disembark and check in to our hotel in Rome. Enjoy a guided walk to the Colosseum or Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel; or visit the impressive archaeological site of Ostia Antica, with public buildings, temples, beautiful sculptures and ancient Roman baths.
Day 14 Rome
The UNESCO-listed Villa d’Este has one of the most beautiful gardens on earth, showcasing stunning fountains, charming terraces and grottoes and beautiful flora. Enjoy this on an optional excursion, or roam through the streets of Italy’s fine capital, filled with wonderful sights.
Day 15 Rome - London
After breakfast, transfer to Rome Airport for a scheduled leading airline flight to London Heathrow or Gatwick Airport. Upon arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
