London - Pisa - Florence, Italy
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Gatwick Airport and a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Pisa. On arrival, you will be transferred by coach to Florence and the Hotel Michelangelo (4T), for the next four nights. Dinner is included at our hotel this evening.
This morning, we take a guided walking tour in the beautiful centre of Florence, to see world-famous sights including the magnificent Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio, overlooking the sculpture-filled Piazza della Signoria. The afternoon is free; an opportunity to take in one of the renowned art galleries.
On arrival in Pisa, we go to the field of miracles where you can view the famous Leaning Tower, as well as the beautiful Cathedral and Baptistery, easily amongst the finest examples of Pisan-Romanesque architecture in Tuscany. After a guided tour, you have free time to explore the city further.
Siena - San Gimignano
We have a full day to explore Siena and San Gimignano. We take a guided walking tour of Siena, through the medieval streets that fan out from one of the greatest medieval squares in all of Europe - the Piazza del Campo. We continue to San Gimignano, on a hilltop surrounded by vineyards and olive groves with a unique skyline of medieval towers, for free time to explore.
Day 5 - Florence - Venice
We depart this morning for Venice. On arrival we will take a private water taxi to St Mark’s Square, for free time to explore before embarking the splendid Norwegian Star (3T+), our stylish floating hotel for the next seven nights. Once you have settled into your cabin, be sure to enjoy the unsurpassed experience of sailing from Venice Harbour, as we commence our voyage.
Day 6 - Dubrovnik, Croatia
Contained within immense walls interspersed with gates, forts, bastions and towers, is a treasure trove of medieval art and architecture that has earned Dubrovnik UNESCO World Heritage Site designation. Our lunchtime arrival allows time for you to make your explorations before we sail in the late evening. Ship to shore tender service.
Day 7 - Kotor, Montenegro
As you arrive at the UNESCO World Natural and Historical Heritage Site of Kotor, you'll notice the dramatic 65-foot high protective walls, which date back to the Venetian period during the 9th century. Walk upon the fortifications and stroll the labyrinth of cobbled streets with cosy cafés and craft shops as you marvel the graceful old buildings.
Day 8 - Katakalon (Olympia), Greece
This quaint little seaside town is the gateway to Ancient Olympia, where Greek mythology was born and the first Olympiad was held. Imagine the cheers of the ancient Greeks as you tour the ruins of one of the most important and exciting sanctuaries of antiquity.
Day 9 - Piraeus (Athens)
Lying at the innermost point of the Saronic Gulf, Piraeus is the main port of Athens. Whilst here, there is the opportunity to visit the capital of Greece, where the majestic complex of the Acropolis, one of the Wonders of the World, still reflects the splendour of the era of Pericles. Early evening sailing.
Day 10 - At sea
An opportunity to relax and enjoy the wealth of onboard facilities and perhaps join in some of the many onboard activities listed in the daily programme. With early morning coffee in your stateroom, afternoon tea and superb midnight buffets, you can choose where and when you wish to dine all day.
Day 11 - Spit, Croatia
The history of this ancient city centres around the magnificent Diocletian’s Palace, built by the Roman Emperor Diocletian and still very much a part of city life today. Explore the medieval fortifications and you will find Romanesque churches, Gothic palaces and Roman temples amongst the beautiful maze of streets.
Day 12 Venice - London
We arrive back in Venice this morning, where we disembark and transfer to the airport for a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to London Gatwick Airport. On arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
