  • Day 4 - Lisbon, Portugal

    Early this afternoon we arrive in Lisbon on the River Tagus, Portugal’s capital spread over seven hills. Its wonderful collection of palaces, art-nouveau cafés, picturesque gardens, ancient castle, fascinating museums and grand bridges makes it a mesmerising destination to explore. Highlights include the Vasco da Gama Bridge - which has more than 11km of viaducts - the National Museum of Contemporary Art and the Centro Commercial Colombo - the largest shopping centre on the Iberian Peninsula.

  • Day 6 - Arrecife, Lanzarote

    Arrive in the vibrant port of Arrecife, which hosts the largest fishing fleet in the Canary Islands. Overlooking the harbour are its two castles - built during the 16th and 17th centuries to protect the port from endless pirate attacks. Castillo San Gabriel is home to Arrecife’s Ethnographic Museum while the Castillo San Jose houses the Museum of International and Contemporary Art. Arrecife is also the gateway to the rest of the island, filled with beautiful sandy beaches.

  • Day 7 - Las Palmas, Gran Canaria

    Not only the capital of Gran Canaria, Las Palmas is also the largest city in the Canary Islands and boasts year-round warm sunshine, lovely beaches and many historical sites. Founded more than 500 years ago, the city’s heritage can be explored in its oldest area, Vegueta. At the heart of Vegueta, stand the grand twin towers of Santa Ana Cathedral which took almost four centuries to complete and therefore illustrate Renaissance, Gothic and Neo-classical styles.

  • Day 8 - Santa Cruz, Tenerife

    Decorated with beautiful beaches, stunning parks, and pretty avenues and treated to a constant warm climate, Santa Cruz has for many years been a popular cruise destination. Discover it at leisure roaming the beautiful wide avenues, glorious beaches, or the exotic Botanical Gardens - spanning over 300 acres of stunning land, the garden hosts a collection of scenic palm trees and glistening sea views - and the spectacular Pyramids of Güímar.

  • Day 9 - Santa Cruz, La Palma

    La Palma’s charming town of Santa Cruz is one of the Canary Island’s most picturesque gems with colonial architecture, churches and palaces, fine restaurants, vibrant bars and sandy beaches. Santa Cruz became a significant trading post between Spain and America during the 15th century; much of its past can be discovered in the historic quarter where old merchants’ houses, grand palaces and the stunning old town hall remain. Visit Santa Cruz’s vibrant street Calle Real, a Historic Artistic Site with a fantastic collection of delightful squares.

    A place of inspiring natural beauty, Funchal’s endless charm and glorious displays of subtropical flowers and fruit have earnt it the name ‘floating garden of the Atlantic’. Nearby Laurel Forest is the perfect visit for nature enthusiasts with its stunning native birds, beautiful butterflies, lush trees and pretty flowers.

  • Day 12 - Leixões (Porto), Portugal

    Arrive in the major seaport of Leixões early this morning for the nearby UNESCO World Heritage City of Porto, situated along the glorious banks of the River Douro. It is a wonderful place to discover with pastel-coloured houses, grand neo-classical architecture and beautiful baroque churches. Fascinating sights include the city’s 12th century fortress-like cathedral and grand Baroque Church, as well as the Gothic UNESCO-listed Church of São Francisco and the mighty Dom Luis Bridge. Porto is home to some of the most world-renowned port producers including Cockburn, Taylor’s and Sandeman; while here discover the makers intriguing cellars and enjoy tasting of the famed fortified wines.
