Day 1 - Southampton
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to Southampton. Embark Braemar (3T+) in preparation for a late evening sailing.
Day 2 - At sea
As we sail towards France, you’re free to do as much (or as little) as you wish. Maybe start your day off with a brisk walk around the deck. Or opt for a yoga class. Spend the afternoon learning a craft, or perfecting your golf swing. After your choice of dinner, you can catch a show or dance into the night.
Days 3-4 - Bordeaux, France (overnight)
We start to sail inland, following the Gironde and Garonne rivers to Bordeaux, arriving late afternoon on day 3. The world’s wine capital offers far more than just vineyards and claret. It’s a City of Art and History, home to 362 historic monuments, with some buildings dating back to Roman times. Leaving late afternoon on day 4, you have plenty of time to explore the Gothic Cathédrale Saint-André in Bordeaux’s historic centre, the popular art museums and the riverside gardens, as well as sampling a glass or two of claret in a local vineyard.
Day 5 - Santander, Spain
Santander is an elegant city where royalty used to spend the summer months. The beautiful Palacio de la Magdalena has a spectacular peninsula setting, which makes a great target for a stroll. Also worth seeing are the Altamira Caves, a few miles from the city, which contain some of the most important cave paintings of Quaternary art.
Day 6 - Avilés
Largely pedestrianised, Avilés’ Old Town consists of several historic squares and plazas, interlinked by a series of pretty boulevards from centuries past. The collection of stunning buildings includes the Camposagrado Palace, and the Palacio de Valdecarzana - Avilés’ sole example of civil medieval architecture - plus a number of outstanding Gothic churches such as San Nicolás and San Francisco.
Day 7 - La Coruña
La Coruña boasts an impressive seafront promenade and beautiful beaches. It hosts attractions such as the Domus Museum, the Casa del Hombre and Torre de Hercules - said to be the only Roman lighthouse in existence - which offers sweeping coastal views from the top of its 60-metre-high tower. The compact Ciudad Vieja - La Coruña’s old quarter - is a must-visit area, marked out by the remains of the centuries-old Roman wall that once protected it.
Day 8 - At sea
As we sail home you may want to rest after all your sightseeing. If you’re still full of energy, there‘s lots to fill your time - from quizzes, games and music recitals to walks on deck and dance classes. And of course there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy all the tasty food options.
Day 9 Southampton
Early this morning we arrive back in Southampton and your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
