Day 1 - London - Berlin - Potsdam - Lehintz

Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport and a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Berlin. On arrival, we travel to Potsdam for a guided tour of the city including the charming gabled houses of the Dutch Quarter, a visit to the Russian Colony Alexandrowka, a tour of the park at Cecilienhof Palace and a walk in the magnificent grounds of Sanssouci Palace, commissioned by Frederick the Great to make use of the exceptional views. We transfer to the port and embark MS Katharina von Bora (3T+) with time to settle in before dinner. We sail this evening to Lehintz, where we dock overnight.
Day 2 - Lehintz - Eberswalde - Oderberg
Enjoy a leisurely morning as our cruise resumes, arriving in Eberswalde at lunchtime. We disembark to take an excursion to Chorin Abbey, an idyllic ruined Cistercian monastery that is still considered one of the finest examples of brick Gothic in Germany. This is followed by a visit to the oldest functioning ship canal lift in Germany, in Niederfinow, a technical masterpiece that elevates vessels 36 metres to continue the journey. Meanwhile the ship has sailed to Oderberg where we re-embark. We stop in Oderberg overnight.
Day 3 - Oderberg - Szczecin
After cruising through splendid landscapes, we arrive in Szczecin at noon. This afternoon we have a coach tour of the city, which takes us to the restored Gothic Town Hall, St James Cathedral, the city’s largest Gothic church, and the lovingly reconstructed Szczecin Castle. The remains of the former defensive walls bore witness to the city’s turbulent history. The Seven Coat Tower and the richly-decorated Berlin Gate are most impressive. We remain in Szczecin overnight.
Day 4 - Szczecin - Swinoujscie - Wolgast
After breakfast you will have the opportunity to join an optional tour around Wollin Island. The north-western part of the island was declared a national park because of its inimitable flora and fauna; and you will visit the traditional coastal resorts of Misdroy and Kamien Pomorski, where you may enjoy a short organ recital in the Cathedral. After cruising across the Oder Lagoon we reach the river Peene and overnight at Wolgast.
Day 5 - Wolgast - Peenemünde (Usedom) - Greifswald
After breakfast we have an optional coach tour of Usedom’s coastal resorts. Both the affluent bourgeoisie and the nobility enjoyed life in Ahlbeck, with its distinctive turreted pier, and Heringsdorf, which has the longest pier on the Baltic Sea. We re-embark in Peenemünde and the ship then cruises to the picturesque Hanseatic town of Greifswald. You might like to join an optional guided walk of Greifswald to view its attractive brick buildings and impressive gables. We overnight here.
Day 6 - Greifswald - Lauterbach (Rügen) - Stralsund
After our early departure and a relaxed breakfast, there is another optional excursion to the coastal resorts of the island of Rügen. Binz, Sellin and Göhren make up the collection of ‘large’ Baltic Sea resorts on Rügen. Walking along the promenade, you will be transported to another era, with impressive 19th century nautical architecture and little seafront villas. In the early afternoon the ship sets sail to the eye-catching Hanseatic city of Stralsund. Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site by joining an included early-evening guided walk. We remain at Stralsund overnight.
Day 7 - Vitte (Hiddensee) - Stralsund
This morning we move on to Vitte - the main town on the island of Hiddensee. The 11-mile long island is completely car-free and we recommend taking an optional ride around it in a horse-drawn carriage, to appreciate the varied landscapes and rugged, unmistakeable beauty. Leaving Hiddensee, we return to Stralsund which is our departure point for an included excursion to the famous 120m-tall chalk cliffs in the Jasmund National Park on Rügen, that have inspired numerous painters. We stay in Stralsund again tonight.
Day 8 Stralsund - Berlin - London
Disembark MS Frederic Chopin and transfer to Berlin Airport for a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to London Heathrow. On arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
