This short cruise on the rivers Elbe and Havel offers a wonderful taste of Germany’s capital and its neighbouring states. See magnificent palaces, pristine parks and natural splendour as we follow the chain of lakes which, linked by Havel, guide us in leisurely twists through protected landscapes of meadows and woodland to Berlin. Day 1 - London - Berlin - Dessau - Magdeburg

Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport and your direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Berlin. On arrival, we transfer to the port in Dessau and embark MS Johannes Brahms (3T+) with time to settle in as we set sail. Enjoy the passing scenery as you take dinner, and enjoy an evening on board as we dock in Magdeburg, remaining overnight.

Day 2 - Magdeburg - Brandenburg

With time for a brisk, early morning independent exploration of historic Magdeburg, or a leisurely morning on board, we depart for Brandenburg. Arriving mid-afternoon you may enjoy an independent stroll around the medieval city walls and gate towers, see cathedral island where the 12th century Romanesque cathedral of St Peter and Paul stands as an impressive testimony to the town’s religious importance, or visit the statue of the knight, Roland in front of the Gothic red-brick Town Hall, a symbol of Brandenburg’s independence in the Middle Ages. We remain here overnight.

Day 3 - Brandenburg - Potsdam

As we wake for the day, our vessel starts the journey to Potsdam, offering lovely scenes as you take a leisurely breakfast on board. Arriving during lunch, our afternoon starts with a walking tour of the historic city centre. Discover the eventful history of Potsdam’s years as the residence of the kings, the Baroque glamour of the city, its luxurious palaces, exquisite gardens and the beautiful lakes. Highlights include the Dutch Quarter, Old Town Hall and the Church of St Nicholas which dominate the Old Market Square. A coach transfers us back to the ship, where we remain in port overnight.

Day 4 - Potsdam - Berlin

After a leisurely morning cruising to Berlin, we arrive early this afternoon, in time for a tour of this resilient city. Originally a small port, Berlin will forever be associated with the infamous wall which divided the city and families for almost 30 years. The tour includes Checkpoint Charlie, one of the most important crossing points between East and West, as well as restored buildings including the impressive Reichstag, the seat of the German Parliament, and the futuristic Sony Centre in Potsdamer Platz. We remain in port overnight.

Day 5 Berlin - London

Disembark MS Johannes Brahms and transfer to the airport for a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to London Heathrow. On arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
