The Scenic Seine
This short cruise will take us from the UK’s southern shores to two of Normandy’s finest towns and cities. We’ll glide along the Seine, passing pretty villages and historic churches as they pop up along the riverside. We’ll stop in the Norman city of Rouen, with 2,000 years of history to discover, before returning north to the pretty port town of Honfleur. This lovely area of the world has been an inspiration for so many artists - and it’s easy to see why.

Day 1 - Dover
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to Dover. Embark Balmoral (3T+) in preparation for a late night sailing.
Day 2 - Cruising the River Seine, France
Today we’ll sail through glorious landscapes - our smaller-sized ship can effortlessly glide along routes of the River Seine inaccessible to other ships. We’ll pass rolling valleys, floral fields, and small villages dotted with historic churches and traditional houses. As you relax on board, maybe you’ll be inspired to put your impressions to paper, in much the same way as Claude Monet and Henri Matisse.
Day 3 - Rouen (overnight)
With over two millennia of history to reveal, Rouen (the ‘City of a Hundred Bells’) has so much to see and explore, so an overnight stay is perfect to ensure your visit isn’t too rushed. You can fill your time seeking out monuments, museums and spectacular architecture. Wander the narrow pedestrianised streets gazing up at the tall, half-timbered houses. Or venture into the more vibrant modern centre of Rouen.
Or maybe you’d prefer the tranquillity of the city's beautiful botanical gardens, ‘Jardin de Plantes de Rouen’, home to hundreds of plant species in its various gardens. Breathe in the scent of those in the rose garden, or discover the healing power of nature in the area of medicinal plants. Wherever you decide to visit, from the corner of your eye you’ll spot a skyline dominated by spires and Gothic churches.
Day 4 - 5 - Cruising the River Seine - Honfleur (overnight)
Leaving Rouen this morning, we’ll sail along the Seine back towards the coast and the quaint port of Honfleur. This historic town is one of France’s most visited and for good reason. We’ll dock overnight here, so there’ll be plenty of time to explore. Maybe amble around its treasure trove of architecture - some dating back to the 15th century.
Or explore the colourful old harbour, somewhere that inspired many of the impressionist painters and poets. If you prefer to see the town from above, the 17th century chapel (Notre Dame de Grâce) offers fabulous views.
Day 6 Dover
We disembark after breakfast and your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
