Day 1 - UK - Paris

Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your flight to Paris. Upon arrival we embark Scenic Gem (5T). This evening enjoy a welcome dinner on board.

Day 2 - Les Andelys

Relax as Scenic Gem glides effortlessly through the peaceful Île-de-France region to Les Andelys, a village set on the banks of the River Seine. On arrival, there are two choices of excursion: enjoy a delightful walking tour to Richard the Lionheart’s grand 12th century Château Gaillard and travel to Lyons la Forêt, one of the most beautiful villages in France, to discover the enchanting Fleury-la-Forêt Castle; or join a guided walking tour of Les Andelys itself.

Day 3 - Rouen

We arrive in the mesmerising capital of the Normandy region, Rouen and dock overnight, providing us with two wonderful days to discover this fantastic region. Our first day begins with a walking tour through its collection of winding medieval lanes filled with half-timbered houses seeing famous sites relating to Joan of Arc, and magnificent Rouen Cathedral, to marvel at the exquisite exterior of the three towers, Flamboyant Gothic stonework and intricate windows. This region is also the gateway to the historic Western Front, and you’re able to gain fascinating insights into the Somme battlefields with an onboard lecture today from a local expert.

Day 4 - Rouen

Our second day here concentrates mainly on the Battle of the Somme, which took more than 150,000 British and Commonwealth soldiers’ lives. Our full day excursion focuses on commemorating the 102 years since the battle, and includes visits to the Australian National Memorial and Victoria School in Villers-Bretonneux. Or, you can visit the Museum of Fine Arts founded by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1801, home to a wonderful collection of Impressionistic paintings including breathtaking works of art by Renoir and Monet.

Day 5 - Rouen - Honfleur

Relax at sea as our ship sails to beautiful Honfleur - perhaps take advantage of the wonderful onboard facilities. This afternoon, relish the opportunity to explore Honfleur, with its quaint architecture, its relaxed coastal atmosphere and the many colourful fishing boats bobbing up and down on its waters. Alternatively, immerse yourself in the beautiful Côte Fleurie region and discover Deauville, playground of the rich and famous. Late this afternoon, visit the tranquil estate of Manoir d’ Appreval for a unique cocktail event where you can taste the estate’s prestigious Calvados apple spirit, in the region of the same name.

Day 6 - Honfleur

Choose to walk the historic Normandy beaches, the site of the D-Day landings, and visit the Landing Museum at Arromanches, along with the Normandy Cemetery, where 9,387 graves are to be found. Take a moment to reflect on that day as you look out from the hill above Omaha Beach. Alternatively, be mesmerised by the unspoilt beauty of the Alabaster Coast when visiting the beautiful town of Étretat sitting atop this glorious seascape. Enjoy time at leisure admiring the extraordinary towering white cliffs, or join a guided tour through the streets.

Day 7 - Honfleur - Caudebec-en-Caux

We sail from Honfleur to Caudebec-en-Caux, stopping along the way to explore Fécamp and its magnificent Benedictine Palace. This Normandy fishing commune has a grand centrepiece that contrasts perfectly with the village’s natural setting and the Benedictine palace also hosts a wonderful liqueur distillery - a drink made from 27 herbs and spices, originally brewed in the 16th century by the monks. Or, choose to visit the beautiful hilltop village of Bolbec to discover the impressive Textile Museum exhibiting a fascinating array of exquisitely-detailed fabrics. Alternatively, for adventure lovers, a guided cycling tour through the quaint village of Villequier is available, which also visits the Victor Hugo Museum, a 19th century mansion with much history.

Day 8 - Vernon

This afternoon we dock in Vernon, lying on the spellbinding banks of the Seine and a historic district home to dreamy waterside views, an impressive 12th century castle and the Gothic Notre-Dame of Vernon. Explore on your own to take in the incredible scenery that gives reason to why Vernon has inspired so many remarkable artists. You can choose to visit the village of Giverny to discover Monet’s former residence and gardens; or at the mesmerising Château de La Roche Guyon, enjoy a live classical concert.

Day 9 - Conflans - Paris

Relax as we sail to the beautiful medieval town of Conflans this morning. Once docked, roam this charming town and discover the distinct barge houses and pretty main square. Alternatively, join an excursion to the beautiful village of Auvers-sur-Oise, former home of Vincent van Gogh, or visit the remarkable Chantilly Castle, situated among stunning parklands. Later, we resume our journey to romantic Paris.

Day 10 - Paris

Awake in the spellbinding capital of France, Paris, bursting with culture, romance, iconic landmarks and beautiful architecture. Spend the day exploring France’s most celebrated and timeless city at your own pace. Or spend the day joining a chef to explore one of Paris’ colourful local food markets and collect all the essentials needed to whip up a mouthwatering dish; or join a walking tour with a resident expert. Alternatively, tour the magnificent 17th century estate of Château Vaux-le-Vicomte, a truly-remarkable structure and Louis XIV’s inspiration for Versailles Palace.

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. Upon arrival your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
