Day 1 - Southampton
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to Southampton. Embark our ship in preparation for a late afternoon sailing.
Day 2 - Rouen, France (overnight)
Spend the day exploring the Normandy region’s capital, with its half-timbered houses and narrow streets. The skyline is dominated by the spires of Cathédrale Notre-Dame, much painted by Claude Monet. The churches of Saint-Maclou and Saint-Ouen are also must-see attractions, as two of the best examples of Gothic architecture in France and an important part of Rouen’s history. For something more relaxed perhaps visit Jardin de Plantes de Rouen, the city's beautiful botanical garden - filled with over 600 different plant species and various gardens.
Day 3 - Rouen - Cruising the River Seine
We leave Rouen to sail on the River Seine and the route we take is possible due to Braemar’s smaller size. We’ll slice through the gorgeous lush-green countryside of Normandy's regional natural park Boucles de la Seine Normande. Relax on deck or in the lounge and take in stunning scenes of rolling valleys, floral fields and charming communes dotted with historic churches and traditional houses that have inspired many famous artists over the years.
Day 4 - At sea
As we sail towards southern France, you’re free to do as much (or as little) as you wish. Maybe start your day off with a brisk walk around the deck. Or opt for a yoga class. Spend the afternoon learning a craft, or perfecting your golf swing. After your choice of dinner, you can catch a show or dance into the night.
Day 5 - Nantes (overnight)
We’ll continue our scenic sailing towards Nantes, arriving late in the day for an overnight stop. Situated at the mouth of the Loire River, Nantes is a vibrant and picturesque city with plenty to see and there’ll be time tomorrow to explore.
Day 6 - Nantes - Cruising the Loire River
Nantes still shows signs of its former status as the capital of Brittany, with its medieval quarter and the magnificent Château des ducs de Bretagne. The stunning building now serves as the Nantes History Museum and is one of Nantes must-visit sites. The city’s grand cathedral is also not to be missed. There are also several places to shop and enjoy a bite to eat or glass of wine in Place du Commerce - the central hub of the city. This afternoon we cruise along France’s longest river, the Loire, back towards the ocean. Sailing this beautiful waterway makes for a relaxing and memorable experience, through ever-changing cultural and scenic landscapes.
Day 7 - At sea
As we sail north again, keep your brain active with the morning quiz, then perfect your dance moves in the afternoon with a beginners’ class. After dinner, you could continue the dancing theme and join the hosted dancing, or choose to watch the professionals instead.
Day 8 - Honfleur
The old harbour, Vieux-Bassin, is one of France’s most picturesque scenes, with its beautiful 15th and 16th-century architecture towering over this distinctive harbour. Back from the harbour is a maze of cobbled streets, leading to galleries, churches and gift shops. Visit St Catherine’s Church constructed by shipbuilders in the 15th century - it’s the biggest timber-built church in the country.
Day 9 Southampton
We arrive back early this morning and your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
