Glide past world-class vineyards, stroll the cobbled streets of quintessentially French towns and stand before majestic cathedrals - join us to experience some of the countless memorable moments coastal France and its rivers offer. We’ll cruise into the pretty Gironde region, opt to taste locally produced wines in Bordeaux and discover why Impressionist painters found quaint Honfleur so captivating. We’ll also delve into France’s history in ancient Rouen, and sail along the River Seine as it meanders through some of the country’s most beautiful vistas.
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to Southampton, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Black Watch (3T+) in preparation for a late evening sailing.
Day 2 - Saint Malo, France
Arrive in Saint Malo, at the mouth of the River Rance - originally a fortified island, but now very much part of the mainland. Meander through the cobbled streets, packed with interesting shops, restaurants, bars and cafés or head to the main gate of Porte Saint-Vincent to visit its castle and museum.
Day 3 - At sea
Day 4 - La Pallice (La Rochelle)
The port of La Pallice is your gateway to La Rochelle, a lively, sparkling seaside town with a great reputation for seafood, urban beaches and attractions. Spend your day strolling under the arcades of the Rue du Palais, exploring the maritime museum and the impressive aquarium - exhibiting more than 12,000 animals of 600 different species.
Days 5-6 - Bordeaux (overnight)
Today we arrive in the world’s wine capital, Bordeaux. It isn’t just wine that makes the city an interesting place; discover the lavish array of fine French architecture and 362 historic monuments. We stop here overnight allowing you ample time to explore at your leisure.
Day 7 - At sea
Day 8 - Cruising River Seine - Rouen (overnight)
This morning we enjoy a scenic cruise along the River Seine to reveal scenic vistas that inspired artists of yesteryear. Settle back and enjoy the unfolding panoramas in sublime comfort as we head towards Rouen for an overnight stop.
Day 9 - Rouen
Discover the city of Rouen, a place that is rich in history and one of Normandy’s most interesting cities. Visit the soaring Gothic Cathedral, reputed to have inspired Monet to paint more than 30 canvasses, or enjoy the mesmerising botanical garden, Jardin de Plantes de Rouen, which hosts over 600 different plant species.
Day 10 - Honfleur
Arrive in the picturesque little port of Honfleur, another of France’s beautiful historic cities and one which has long inspired painters and poets. Explore the Vieux Basin (Old Dock) with cobblestone streets, timber and slate houses that overlook the fishing harbour. Or visit the intriguing 15th century wooden St Catherine Church.
Day 11 Southampton
Early this morning we arrive back in Southampton, where we disembark after breakfast. Upon arrival, your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
