Day 1 - London - Düsseldorf - Cologne
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport and your direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Düsseldorf. On arrival, our coach will transfer you to Cologne to embark A-ROSA SILVA (4T). Enjoy dinner on board this evening as we set sail along the Rhine.
Day 2 - Worms - Mannheim (Heidelberg)
This morning we sail to Worms and disembark for an afternoon excursion to Heidelberg. Located on the Neckar River, this picturesque city was discovered early on by literary romantics, who enjoyed singing about it and painting it. The castle, with its dreamy internal courtyard, looks down over the city, and forms one of the most impressive sights of the city. The Christmas Market of Heidelberg lets the old town glitter in matchless splendour. The atmosphere is unique - the stalls nestle idyllically amongst the historic squares, offering a warming glow of light along one of the longest pedestrian zones in Europe. In the fairy-tale winter woods at the ‘Kornmarkt’, the Advent stroll is transformed into a sensual experience with more than 100 pine trees and noble decorated pagoda tents. After free time to explore, a coach will take you to Mannheim to meet the ship.
Day 3 - Kehl (Strasbourg)
Docking in Kehl, travel the short distance to the Alsace capital to enjoy the region’s most famous, and therefore not to be missed, Christmas market. Begin your time in Strasbourg with a short stroll through the old town, past impressive buildings that still bear testament of the city’s eventful history, to the world-famous Strasbourg Minster and past numerous old timber framed houses. After the tour has ended, you will have enough time to explore the delightful Christmas market. The very first Christmas market in Europe took place in Strasbourg in 1570, called the Christkindelsmärik (market of the Infant Jesus). The city has embraced tradition ever since, with 300 stalls now spreading over 12 locations, dressed in kilometres of lights and decorations, earning the city its reputation as the best Christmas market in Europe.
Day 4 - Mainz
We arrive in Mainz at midday for a walking tour of a city where two thousand years of history can be seen in the walls. The foundation stone for St Martin’s Cathedral was laid by the Romans in 975. It has had a troubled past of fire and lightning strikes, but has stood to witness the coronations of seven kings and offers a dramatic backdrop to the market square, witnessing traditions grow and change since the first Christmas market here in 1788.
Day 5 Cologne - Düsseldorf - London
After breakfast this morning, we disembark in Cologne and transfer to Düsseldorf Airport for our British Airways flight to London Heathrow. On arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
